can anyone help me set shadow of the colossus and pcsx2?
I have 2.5gb iso of shadow of the colossus and just downloaded ready pcsx2 PCSX2.PS2.Emulator.1.1.0.r5366
from bay.
I select the iso, start it and the game starts but I get HORRIBLE fps. Is there any cpu plugin ? I've tried software rendered but not much gained

You're basically asking for the impossible , since any CPU-intensive game that I could suggest (GTA IV, Flight simulator X, Arma 2 etc.) would run incredibly bad on that card. |

Yeah I know.
But even tho aero in windows 7 is laggy and flash is unwatchable, I still manage to play carmageddon in hires in dosbox fluidly and shadow of the colossus ~20fps (for now)

Metro 2033 DX11/PhysX High -> for real challenge 
GTA IV max details -> for even more challenge
But also The Witcher 2, Skyrim max details + texture mods, Sleeping Dogs, Crysis 1/2, Battlefield 3, Arkham City (dx11), STALKER CoP (dx11) etc. |

Haha well you're ready for the  then.
Dark Souls with mods is worth to be tried as well, you'll see how different (better) is if compared to the console version.
Anno 2070 and Shogun 2 too if you're into strategy games. |

For CPU civ5 believe it or not.
In a huge map MP game with me and a friend and 4 AI's my CPU doesnt leave 90-100% load the whole time.
OR Supreme commander: forged alliance. Get a long game going with TONS of units..you will see your CPU start sweating.

For CPU *and* GPU, World in Conflict DX10 mode. Even today, that's still a beastly game if you want to run with full eye-candy.

The DSfix: http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dsfix
Unpack everything into the main folder, open the DSfix.ini and change the unlockFPS from 0 to 1. The 1080p render is enable by default. There other nice values for aa, saao etc

I got kinda sad after i built my new system and there really arent that many good games that tax great hardware. Crysis... boring. Batman Arkham City... good but i dont want to play it again. BF3... sick of it. Witcher 2... gorgeous but already beat it 3 times. There's Total War: Shogun but it doesnt seem to like my AMD GPUs. Arma2... too clunky, rather play Op:Flashpoint and Resistance.

I am a big time games replayer, so that is ideal for me. To replay older games in full glory. Or just play 360 games in better versions etc
edit: Also, I want to replay Max Payne3. Is there a way to disable those fucking stupid video tape effects and flying subtitles? Perhaps a mod or someting

yea, told you the 7870 was a beast for the price.
I was really suprized the difference it gave me from my 5850 like I said..I was expecting maybe 20-25% boost. in somethings its double!

60fps + motion blur man!!!
Crysis 2, dx11, ultra. Not going lower than 40fps !!! about 50-55 usually
