hmmm no, only metldr1 consoles can be flashed with the CFW.
So not all PS3, since most PS3 use metldr2 since early 2011.
See what happens when misinformation is spread in this forum 
And about an exploit, sure it will help now that we can decrypt all FW, but we always could decrypt 3.56, that had this part resecured and so far, no exploit has been discovered. Now, I'm not saying Sony didn't add any new hole since 3.60+... But if not, then no, the keys won't help.

Well they can decrypt now the new firmwares so its possible they find an exploit..
its now also possible to flash rebug cfw to any ps3 it does not have to be from factory 3.55 or 56 so there is really some progress now. I sold my cfw 3.55 ps3 last year was a bit out of money and rgh was enough for me.. but now i want one again.. i will get e3 flasher and see if i can downgrade.. if i can do rgh i can flash a ps3 to  |

I'm a bit curious when it comes to that reactpsn thing. I'm not sure though if it's really working on rebug 4.21. I have seen people complain about not getting it to work, and i also saw a news post on psx scene about it working and been tested.
Anyone here got it to work?

Tomorrow I should have my NOR back, had it downgraded to 3.55 so I can finally join the console YARRRR crowd \o/

You don't reinstall them, you have to resign them with 3.56+ keys.

There are warnings all over that post, stark warnings TELLING people that PERMANENT brick risks are evident --- and EVERYBODY (with a fucking brain, at least) knows that 3K and 4K machines CANNOT BE HACKED YET. AT ALL. Everyone else knows this because they pay attention to what's going on, they read the news and the threads and they LISTEN when they're told something - rather being obstinate douchebags and pulling theories and crystal balls out of their arses. I simply cannot even begin to count the times that sites have stated "3K/4K cannot be hacked yet" - so if people still went ahead and tried to flash this shit to their 3K/4K machine, they deserve to be bricked. Good riddance, that's few morons polluting the scene with their stupid questions and inability to accept something when they're told.
As for your petty little digs and whines; you're banned from Crunch. Get over it instead of whining about it in every thread (on a NON RELATED SITE) because nobody cares.

first of all apolagies to all the people who are upto speed with the PS3 and have been following the scene for all this time.
i tried to but have fallen behind.
i stopped using my ps3 on 3.55 firmware and have left it gathering dust in hope that one day it can be used again for all games.
so my question is, it currently has 3.55 custom firmware on it - what is my best option so it can play new games?
can it be used to play the games online too?
i will try and read through to find the answers but if someone can put me out of my misery, much appreciated

Download Rogero 4.30 firmware.

yea, groups wont be wasting their time with 3.55 eboot fixes soon, better update.
also fot the clean feel, no more dirty eboot fixes but nice, sparkly untouched eboots.

sure in the near future but right now, duplex released a patch eboot for 3.55 and even with the patched fil, it still does not word ... (lbp karting)

LBP Karting 3.55 patch from Duplex works perfectly on kmeaw 3.55... Really weird. You prolly have a bad copy of the game or something.
