Finally finished the game with my limited free time.. Got the good ending (which I was aiming for this playthrough anyway). Gotta say, the ending along with the last mission were very underwhelming indeed, just as you guys said.
Other than that tho, I'm glad it ended when it did, would have gotten boring if any longer IMO.
One question about Corvo's gear:

If you don't go & pick the gear up in that mission when u were just put in a cell, will you ever get them back? Or will they get replaced with something else? Just curious..
Gonna re-play sometime (much later) & friggin' kill everything that moves. Gonna be a blast..

it was a bit annoying with my stealth playthrough, i would have needed the darts to distract guards and i didn't go get them :/
So, now that I've finished the game like a month ago, and I look back at it (cause I stopped playing it since finishing it) I honestly think the game pretty much sucks. It did nothing to me whatsoever. It was short and felt rushed, the replay value is next to none (atleast for me, not having all of your powers when replaying ugh). The characters arent interesting or captivating. I didnt even feel awesome when doing cool kills, cause I've done that same killmove 20 times before. So meh, this game is not on my favorites list at all. Lets hope they learn from this game and improve the next one.

They should make the spiritual succesor to Dark Messiah next, since a direct sequel is not possible with Ubisoft owning the rights. Or you know what it would be cool since you mentioned TES? Bethesda should let them have total freedom with the game so they can make a mod for Skyrim that changes the entire first person aspect. Actually, can anyone here contact someone at Arkane and pitch that idea to them?
I want to see Arkane follow the Deux Ex format, more hub based with plenty of side quests, weapons to find, and a skill tree, but with melee focus like Dark Messiah.
