Holy, this is a powerful song, i was totally ignorant of who they were or about his life, after listening to it the whole day i got a lot of messages from it, then i read about who they were and his story and the song's background...
I was gonna post a wall of text about my current emotional situation but no sense in doing it after i thought about it.
But i do gotta say, i related to it since the first hearing and i was curious and i confirmed what i thought was in it and man is that song significant, amazing backstory. Cant imagine how it really was inside this guys mind and personality. Specially how he handled his ending. Props and respect.

You think the last one isn't powerful enough? It was shot in black and white because Freddie was on the verge of collapsing, they shot it that way to hide how bad he looked. That's also the reason why he wore that much makeup in that video.

My reaction exactly, dayumn son where have you been?
Who Wants To Live Forever I find even more powerful live:
Seriously Lopin, go grab the Wembley concert. There's a reason it's considered one of the best concerts of all time.
A couple of weeks ago I was listening to the radio in my car and the presenter asked people to SMS him their answer to this question: if you could bring back one artist from the dead, who would it be?
Didn't take long to answer that one
Oh man, Queen are - were - quite simply one of the greatest bands in the world, their songs were perfect for so many occasions and some of them were immensely powerful
Yes he was? (because I can't believe you wrote that out of fear of being stamped a homo for liking Queen and Freddie Mercury).
I think he was a bisexual, he spent a lot of his life with Mary Austin, the song "Love of my life" is dedicated to her, and he gave her a vast majority of his wealth + his home and all the royalties.
I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
I liken it to a Kangaroo turning up for a pint in Norway during the winter.

Hell, you would be angry 24/7 if u could understand spanish and listen to the shit i have to put up in our media and politicians =| but thats another topic.
You must know that DR is a spanish country, and in the 80s, 90s it was very rare for people to enjoy english culture. In my case ive never even heard of them. I actually caught up because i remembered this video in youtube and relistened it and found the lyrics carrying a dying wish, a dying battle and a will to commitment to keep going. Finding the backstory was what made me realize how big this guy was and that song.
Time to check the other stuff, i dled some documentaries about his life and ill get that concert now.

Haha believe me, after 20 years of Berlusconi and his not-so-masked media regime I can definitely feel your pain. Despite being in EU we're still very close-minded when it comes to movies (hell they're still dubbed, all of them) and especially music, since local popcrap is still the king. Fortunately we've got the internet these days...until it lasts!
Oh boy i got the Wembley Concert DVD, first dled the friday version and ive seen a bit (specially who wants to live forever as you guys said), not complete yet, but this was certainly an experience for me, it has added a bit in me in my mood since i like these kind of lyrics and sound (Rythme? cant remember the word) and that voice, very very good.
Soon im gonna search other artists from outside my cultural knowledge and time to see what else i can discover, ive heard the beatles a bit and some of their songs, very nice, but i know im missing quite a bit from history.
Sadly...... im still in this fucking country... xD
