It always played at 60fps on them derpsoles, son... the mindblowing thing is that this time it also does on (dare I say) most of the decent/weak desktop PC's out there
Not on my PC. Lots of scenes have low framerate. Sure I play with everything on max, but still it's not like it has any super advanced options I enabled.
Thankfully BO1's stuttering is gone.

Just finished and I really enjoyed it, surprisingly Definitely sticking with my earlier opinion; it's in the top with CoD2 and CoD4, no doubt about that. I'd give it a 6, maybe a 7, out of 10. Far from perfect, but far from trash too

I'd really like a DX9 renderer so we could see the performance difference between the two and to see if this would convince every fucking dev out there to just ditch DX9 once and for all... I can dream, can't I?

Resolution parity returned with Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 3, but this has changed once again with Black Ops 2; native resolution is now 880x720 on Xbox 360 with 2x MSAA. It may sound somewhat on the low side, but kudos to Treyarch here - the upscaling algorithm is remarkably refined when viewed in motion. The overall impression is that this is the crispest COD we've seen on 360. As you'll see in the comparison viewer below, the upscaled image generally compares quite well with the PC version running at native res.
Things aren't quite so impressive on PS3, however. Base resolution does indeed appear to be a very close match, with our pixel count resolving a marginally lower 864x720 image. It's impossible to overlook the aggressive blur applied over the top of the image though, resulting from what appears to be a new post-process anti-aliasing technique for the studio.

I thrashed 3DM shit after discovering the trojan file. I think i'll wait for some decent crack.
That might be the better idea since 3DM's crack also has it's problems... first time I'm doing the karma mission the game loads it up just fine, but I had to quit.
Came back, fired up the game again, resumed the campaign and it would crash after the intro cutscene every single time.
Did the mission before again and it loaded up just fine

Nah, in the case of BLOPS2 I haven't even noticed any SSAO, while I have it enabled. Maybe it doesn't even work?

There's some but it's not very noticeable, though having a couple of more options in the menu can make people think that they actually cared about additional effects this time. Placebolol
Btw, I managed to take a screen where the game does look..not bad at all. I'm still surprised
But guys I think it's an impressive accomplishment that consoles (X360 namely) can handle Q3 engine at steady 60 fps.

Man! I was playing for a couple of days. Tried Nivida's 310.54 betas that are supposed to enhance Black Ops 2. Now I get the "unhandled exception crash", going back to the original driver doesn't help, I even used Driver Cleaner to clean it up good and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I can't get back into the game. WTF? It worked for awhile.

Yeah but the few that splintered off (including NTA) went on to create FourDeltaOne ... and now THAT has also gone offline, with NTA throwing having another "I'm taking my ball and going home" fit. AIW is dead, 4D1 is down and "don't know when/if it's coming back up" and all that's left is TeknoGods, who don't support MW2 any more and haven't yet gotten the latest versions of MW3 working yet - just SP only.
