I really wish he'd focus on the spacesim part and flesh that out more. All those extra features sound cool on paper but I get the feeling all of them will end up very shallow.
I think the space sim bit is pretty much done; graphically not finished, but the basic engine is already up and running. The stuff he's promising has obviously been planned way in advance, and tbh, nothing he's mentioned already is a huge undertaking (ok, apart from the FPS bit, although even then, it doesn't need to be Battlefield quality really).
I'm slightly stoked for this game, you might be able to tell
Oh, and no EA whores mean no rushing, so it'll be ready when it's ready. Which means more time for polishing.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Games where all you see is the ship and a trade menu have always bored me and that's the reason I always ignore them. But the amount of detail they are willing to put into this is really encouraging to say the least

I'm actually already hyped for this (and if you hadn't noticed, I don't tend to get hyped *at all*), I really hope they keep up the steady stream of footage and details. Very ambitious project, but they seem to be quite far along already (as in, most of the art is already done, the actual physics system and a bunch of the models are, etcetera) so now they can focus on the real meat of the game. I have no doubt some stuff will not make the cut, but even if they just get 70% done of what's been spoken about so far, it'll still be my GOTY
We're at 3.8M now with ~3 days to go. Last day will feature T-shirt sales as well. Pledges are currently up to ~110-120K per 12 hours.. I think we'll break 4.5M mark, and make a good run for 5M .
Aslong as you atleast have pledged 30$ before the campaing ends you can upgrade your pledge later for the same cost as now.
I seriously asked them if i could pledge 125$ each month for the next 18-20 months heh
Yeah i know, i know a fool and his money and all that but this is basicly the game i´ve had in my head since the WC era and finally the only guy i know who could make it come thru came back to do just that, if i could i would have payed for the whole development out of my pocket unfortunatly i don´t sit on the 20 million or so that would be needed heh
Trouble is, I used KS to pledge, and they don't take money till the 19th, and I get paid on the 20th - I didn't realise I was out of cash till just now...
