It is a bit dissapointing that you can't look through keyholes and that the disguises don't work as in previous hitman games. Sad

They can see you from pretty damn large distances. They even notice you before you see them. It's my biggest and only problem with this game. Other than that it's excellent.

I should get further in the game before commenting it seems, so there were two effects, most of the game settings are stored into the registry under a IO key but most of what is there is already available via the in-game or launcher options.

I'll see what else I can find. Smile

@interinactive

I think your a unfair with your initial review. While I agree that the game doesn't play like a hardcore Hitman game, comparing it to Conviction is unfair. Conviction encourages you to stealthy kill guards this game encourages you to stealthy avoid guards. If you kill a guard, even stealthy, it affects your score negatively (except in some parts in the tutorial level). Although the levels are generally smaller in comparison to 'blood money' still you have more then 'just two paths' to complete an objective (although you are correct about the tutorial level being extremely linear). Now I haven't finished the game yet (I only played some level in the PS3 and then stopped in order to not ruin my experience with the PC version).
In the end if you expected hitman:blood money 2 you'll be disappointed but I don't think the end result is bad. My best way to describe the game is that it feels like some levels gave me the vibe of Cheos Theory with a Hitman twist and some levels are much more open ended/sandboxy.
That's my two cents..... Smile

It seems you regenerate health on Purist too, either that, or the "I've been shot" effect simply disappears after a while, hard to tell without a HUD

So basically turns out that the Purist mode is a complete joke..

Another batch of screens, shooting the target the moment I saw him wasn't really well thought out but it was fun for the few seconds afterwards where I was still alive. Very Happy

What to say about the game, not much that hasn't already been said, it does play like a sandbox TPS but it's also heavily scripted and linear, unsure how to explain it but there's plenty of other opinions in this thread about the game, or the many reviews posted thus far. Smile

it seems like it can be compressed pretty well - so it depends on which compression will scene use for installer - preload is 11GB and steam downloads another 4GB - so it could be 16GB installer in the end

How does the game run for you guys? I really expected a solid 60FPS with my rig, but sadly it does not...40-50 FPS...

Depends, does it count in stats? I was dropping uncoscious bodies into the water in Dishonored... until I realised they count as kills xD

As long as they don't scream, you always get the silent assassin achievement grinhurt

Plays too much like a straight up stealth game like splinter cell with a bald Sam. It doesn´t make it a bad game, but it doesn´t make it a hitman game either.
