Its not that I always bash their games. I enjoy their SP campaigns for the most part. Its just that Im EXTREMELY cheap when it comes to buying software

that was indeed a blast - played the campaign for 20+ hours, every mission at least 3 times
best cod ever, no trolling
no wonder all the copycats fail so hard, as of yet nobody nailed the sleakness and feel of the Quake engine
you have all the right reasons to hate COD for what it did to other games and the industry in general, but at least COD does what COD does perfectly. the formula still works for me

Call me crazy, but I'm actually enjoying the multiplayer for a change and I have pretty much hated the COD series.. made my wife take back or give away a damn MW3 shirt she bought me haha.
I think this is the best one since COD4 myself though. Now that PS2 is out and Hawken beta phase 3 started, and the new FireFall patch is out, I'm sure I will play less and less though.

What makes you say they dropped the ball on this? The game has been out for 1,5 week and they are gathering stats and info to see what's OP. They look at stats, no people who claim that something is OP. I agree that SMG's are too easy too use at the moment and are better then assault rifles, but Treyarch does't look at that.

It's not the SMG's that are OP, it's the hip accuracy with SMG's that needs a nerf. These are small maps, obviously the SMG is going to be the dominating weapon. But right now, mainly because of the damn laser attachment, shooting from the hip is ridiculous.
And dropping the ball? I don't think so. We are almost 2 weeks in and so far no lag and no cheaters (knock on wood), and they already released 2 patches. And whenever cheaters pop out (usually ground war), they do get banned instantly. People have been putting out forum messages from hackers crying how they got banned so fast.
So far, so good.

The only thing I'm really disliking is the Nuketown debacle - what the fuck were they thinking when they removed it? I'm of course sure it was about money in some form, definitely, that's not hard to figure out. Maybe because they want to include the map in the first map pack DLC or some shit? Who knows. They saved SOME dignity by including it in the new Chaos Moshpit-playlist though, a playlist I like myself.
And no cheaters? Heh, not true - there's a well-known cheat site that has a BO2 cheat package for sale since like two-three days back, and the team says they've been running it since launch and are still not banned. It includes aimbot, ESP/wallhack, custom radar with enemy positions etc, you name it. So yeah, the game has cheaters alright.

LOL, of course the retards who sell this shit are going to say that it's undetectable or whatever to sell. And obviously there will be cheaters in a PC MP environment, but what I like so far is that they are gone very fast, and no BS like DICE/EA with resetting stats. You get caught once, you're gone.

BO1 had performance patches as well (that fixed nothing for me)
