You can shoot the cooker. That was the only way I have found to ignite the gas.
Edit: just remembered where that is. Shooting it would be a problem.

So far I'm only irritated, not so much by the game mechanics but because they're not giving me an option in weapons so far (I'm at the courtyard). So far it's very story driven which wouldn't be such a bad thing if at least they let me pick what weapons and how I want to approach it.
I'm playing this on expert and well, just getting frustrated while playing it. 
I really do hope I get to pick my weapons soon or else I'll just consider going guns blazing EZ-mode.

The only annoying thing is the instinct crap. Without this, the game would feel fine

I bought the standard edition but i still see the agency dlc weapon in the safehouse but you need to use the in game currency to buy them, does this mean that agency pack dlc is just an early unlock?
