Assassin's Creed III: Deluxe Edition

This game is not available for download yet. It will be unlocked on 23-Nov-2012. Any required keys will be made available on that date.

What the flying fuck? Steam says it unlocks in 7 hours.

Made a ticket asking for a refund if they can't hold the official date. Contract reasons is the last of my concern. I'm the consumer, i expect to get it when it's released, not 1 day late.

It's stuck at "Inspired by historical events and characters".. what's wrong damnit?

EDIT: lol, finally, a solution.

"For those that had problems getting pass the first intro screen (the multicultural team one), I found a way to get past it. I'm guessing this problem occurs with those with Nvidia Optimus. I right clicked AssassinsCreed3.exe and ran it with High-Performance graphics. Before the game starts, I right clicked anywhere else to bring up the standard Windows dropdown. This will trigger AC3 to load in the background, and this time, will get pass the intro screen."

For anyone who's experiencing the same issue, following the instructions above actually works.

I can't WAIT for Star Citizen to be released, so we can finally see just what PC gaming should look and play like.

If you think the visuals on PC are "slightly enhanced", you obviously haven't seen the console version. Either lower every setting and play it at console visuals with steady FPS, or up everything and buy a better system.
So a game is badly optimized if it doesn't run maxed out on a midrange PC? What kinda shit argument is that?

You're talking shite. And I believe I'll just ignore you for a while because you seem to be the sort of person who just has to be better than everyone else.

@murgo: Is it possible that the game is using an internal GPU and not the one it should be using? I know some people had problems with this on Intel systems, but I'm not sure about AMD. It's worth checking into at least.

Hi Guys,

I have just spoken to the team, as some of you have wondered if your able to disable DX11 support totally.

The game is hard coded to support DX11 - so it's always enabled, so there is no 'off' setting for it.

It's all about the CPU man, yours just won't cut it, simple as that.

You could try to OC, but i doubt that it will make any difference, this game is just terrible coded. Nothing more, nothing less.

Anyone hovering around 50-60fps can get much smoother gameplay by setting the game to 50hz and using vsync to get equal frame interval times.

EDIT: That is, if your system will work with it. You might just get 50hz input and 60hz output which would be really juddery.

How wiould higher fps make me better than anyone else? Doesn't make any sense.

The amount of detail I see in the Frontier easily explains the demanding engine. If I get such small detail and atmosphere at 45-60 fps, I'm perfectly fine with it. The word "unoptimized" has no meaning on this forum since it's used everytime someone has a problem with a game. As for why I am so adamant about this subject, finally some dev doesn't let a game be held back by consoles and does what it can (most devs would just say fuck it and lower every single detail to make it run good on a console), people complain it doesn't run on their midrange system. Well respect for Ubisoft from me since this time they said FU to consoles (it really runs like shit on consoles) and they've put as much detail in the game as they could.

Oh shut up Rolling Eyes It runs "fine" for you, whoopdedoo, aren't you special? Stop brushing aside complaints from others who aren't so lucky -- including Breezer who's machine is significantly more powerful and still gets trashed by the game.

No no, the engine is perfect! Look at all the detail! You've got a shit CPU and shit PC, you need to upgrade like me, lolz, Ubisoft ROXMISOXOMGZ!

Yeah, you have an AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4GHz. I have a C2Q Q9550 @3.4Ghz. Don't both of our processors perform very similarly?

I have yet to find the first game where my cpu bottlenecks my GTX 570.

Fixed and yes, you're absolutely correct. If CURRENT technology is incapable of supporting 60fps at that level of detail, then damned straight it's unoptimised -- or just piss poorly coded.
