I think your confused with it, the force speed got unlocked after level 14 and not sprint!

I think they moved it to level 10 first. The move to level 1 came with the whole Legacy update IIRC. I was playing in beta and at launch and I remember how extremely painful it was running around on the capital worlds (Dromund Kaas and Coruscant) without Sprint.

Because every city was obnoxiously large for no reason., it was just miles of empty space. The whole game had really weird issues with the general scale of things

I think part of that was a box checking exercise. There was a certain level of expectation from people based on other MMOs (particularly SWG) and the Star Wars lore. There was probably also at least some minor element of leaving themselves room for future expansion, places to add in extra content. But yeah, probably mostly it was just needless padding to try and put the brakes on content consumption. The longer it takes to burn through the content, the longer people have to subscribe. That was always going to be an especially significant problem for TOR due to the focus on the single player story element.
I don't think large areas are inherently a problem. It could have been fair less of an issue with faster player movement, more transport (shuttles/speeders), earlier mount/vehicle access, etc. It was just the design decisions to limit all that.

I love the RP server, people actually use real words in proper sentences. Even when bitching about f2p players

So they made the game free to play BUT hugely restrictive and no way for a f2p player to earn the things that subbed members have by just playing...
They sure do want their 200$ million back... IDIOTIC in every way.

I actually liked this game when it came out. I played an operative healer and the way the resource system worked was very interesting to me. You had to actually use your spells correctly and be very careful of not over spamming them. Basically the less of the resource you had, the slower it would regen, so it rewarded you for using your spells carefully.
The raids also had some very interesting boss battles, shame they were way too easy.
Stopped playing it after the second month because of the lack of difficulty and horrible pvp.

Dont get me wrong. I played the game for 3 months and enjoyed it quite a bit. Sadly my friend got bored of it quicker than i did ( we played together and progressed together ) but at one point it somehow got boring and tedious. Never made it to raiding. Tried PvP but that was, like EvilSlein said, horrible. The first part of the main storyline was very well crafted. The second part was a little meh already and the third part was stupid. Felt rushed... Hmm rushed... odd to use that word on a game that was in development for such a long time.

so, finally got around and gave it another try, as a Bountyhunter. As preferred player. Now, i got spring at level 1, so that's that. But damn, the game is so freaking boring. I mean, its maybe entertaining (it was for me), when you play it the first time through, but second time, its just so freaking boring. I haven't played this for 8 months and still knew everything by heart. Its just so freaking boring.
Did i say its freaking boring ?

You forgot to mention, that it's boring.

But, as someone who has never played before, what I really want to know is: Is it interesting...or boring?

No id say its alot of fun if you love star wars. Its the longest game I ever played, it doesent excell at one specific thing but its good on alot of points, is varied with pvp, space, groups etc
Note that I never played WoW so I didnt compare it to SWTOR.

first play through is ok, if only for the story. But its replay value is subzero (and not the cool blue ninja kind)

we have to subscribe again, in order to collect "bonus" coins for past subscriptions. Its the dumbest thing ever.
Oh and as "preferred" player, i have a whopping 2! characters. Not per server, no, in ALL. i had to delete 5 of my 6 characters to create a new bountyhunter. Not that care for those chars, but i find it retarded. Whole game is, fuck biowhore.

I just reported EA/Bioware to the European Consumer Centre network (each country has their own page btw), after 1 year they have still not solved my problem with the gametime card being activated on a account that had no game license, they refused to do anything.
So i reported them for not providing the product that i payed for
