Damnit I can't get used to this disguise system. I loved hiding in plain sight in the previous games. I understand challenge is important but the disguise system in this state just makes the game NOT fun

By some weird reason if i take the fish and go poison the food "king" never leaves the place where he is talking to the phone.
I have to take the fish and go to the electric box and wait 5-6 seconds until dealer comes. Now "king" moved to the place where he eats food. I go fast and take cook disguise then poison his coffee , take the evidence and go back to change disguise again. By this time king drinks the coffee and dies and i get the silent assassin.
BTW anyone gets contact servers down error?

Did you "trigger" the dialogue? He's gotta start talking to the dealer. You have to be in a certain area to trigger dialogues. For example, checkpoint 4, in "Personal Contract", the guard doesn't start talking until you enter his nearby proximity in the kitchen. Afterwards, he won't start talking until you get close to the door. The "Head" also won't start briefing the guards unless you go up the stairs.
Either that (it's a change from the previous Hitman games somewhat), or a bug I didn't trigger in any of my replays of the level (and there've been plenty of those).

I'ts just bug. Its like the game has one strict way to trigger all NPC actions and if you don't follow them you are screwed. If the dealer does not come out of the apartment you can stay whole day long, but the only way to pass this will be to shoot the guy in the face and run away.
I should probably wait for a patch until i go for third mission.

Hmmm, so despite newest graphic drivers, my game crashes after selecting new game difficulty. Now, I do already have steam installed, but it doesnt work despite that, always claiming "Read Error - Cannot verify game cache". Anyone know a solution to this? This is on W7 x64 btw.

Yep i installed steam and all is well now, so if anyone else is having the problem with hitman will not launch, you need to install steam.

Play on the purist difficulty, tutorial is disabled. 
As I said, radar, giant yellow arrows and warnings every time you enter a new area or draw a weapon is shit. |

For players on Nvidia hardware who have problems we recommend installing drivers from here: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-geforce-310-61-beta-drivers-released NVIDIA has specifically provided these drivers to counter driver problems they are aware of with Hitman: Absolution. These may also help combat the DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_REMOVED. Please keep us informed about how these work for you.
Some players have reported success with turning down SSAO and disabling Global Illumination to resolve this issue. Also disabling Desktop Window Compositing has been reported to help. These may serve as a work-around while we work with NVIDIA to resolve these problems.
An error that looks related but is quite different is the E_OUTOFMEMORY error that can show up in the same dialog box. This means your system is running out of available memory for the game process. Running at lower settings, lower texture quality settings, and reducing the amount of other applications that may be resident in your system can help solve this. Especially on a 32bit OS you may have problems when running at highest settings.
If you have problems with the game crashing on loading screens/during intro cinematics, please ensure all the game files on your system are in good order. Use Verify Integrity of Game Cache in Steam to ensure this. We have seen a lot of problems get resolved by using this.
On top of these we are monitoring many other issues, including reports of some players being unable to start the game at all. We will keep this thread updated as we find more information and solutions.

Only the usual "WINDOWS IS RUNNING SLOW, WANNA DISABLE AERO?", but that's not related to Hitman, that's Nvidia drivers. |

Is your OS updated? I had that same problem but after running Windows update, the game started up fine.
I'm on Windows 7 64-bit.

Except with Windows it's security patches as well as DirectX updates etcetera, why on earth would you not want them? I've not had a single update break anything in Windows 7.
