Ah nice. I did try that but with dashes and big letters, but the silly thing won't let copy paste. This time with small letters and all together without dashes worked fine. (maybe there was a typo the first time).

let me guess, some monitor snobs on some hardware forum talked you into buying a 16:10 display instead of a more entertainment friendly 16:9? i can feel your pain, but at least you get more screen real estate when browsing porn |
Or like me, this monitor was bought long ago where 16:10 was more common than 16:9...
The black bars become somewhat unnoticeable after a while tho even though I would love for them not to appear.

I use 16:10 too but I like the view it offers, that and 1920x1080 is less than 1920x1200.
Finished the story, some of it felt a bit rushed, Connor wasn't that likeable albeit it's understandable seeing the events in the game and though the game itself was fairly good I think I still liked the first game the best so far.
Lots of tweaks and improvements to the game though which is nice to see, also even though I achieved a near 100% synchronization since most of the side objectives were so easy I might have to replay anyway due to the many years that the story spans and the cities and other locations change a lot so I likely missed a lot of events.
(I only ever got that one assassin for example and the homestead missions disappeared completely although I have four or so people with most of their missions done albeit I never crafted anything so they are all level 1 still, never needed too.)
There wasn't much equipment either and the stuff early on can last through the entire game in terms of stats although a certain Mayan ruins DLC with it's weapon reward was even stronger, outfits don't really mean much either, you can unlock some bonus ones depending on certain conditions being met but it's just visually and only the default one is fully compatible.
(Showing the quiver and being able to accept dyes plus lowering the hood in peaceful areas.)
Unsure what else there is to say, there's certainly room for DLC or even side stories like Brotherhood/Revelations such as what happened during those skipped years with say the continental assassin order which the game only touches upon briefly in the database and some larger events are also gone through fairly quickly.
(I liked the epilogue missions, gave a nice conclusion of you being done with it but that there's still much that could be done, hunting those pivots - it's a online challenge between players or such that unlock bonus cheats but it won't save progress when they are enabled - was something I also tested briefly.)
Now to replay the sequences and finish those skipped missions and then maybe trying to achieve those challenges.
(The various clubs and such you can partake in, finding those collectibles and the like, aiding citizens and all the other stuff.)
EDIT: And there's still room for that oriental setting in one of these games.
(The database touches upon that too.)

Finally got a chance to play this. I was worried about framerate drops in Boston (currently, I'm at sequence 3) after reading so much about it, but I saw none of it. Although if I set AA to highest, it does sometimes drop below 50, but it's hard to notice. Mostly it runs around 60 (locked). No complaints about the graphics either. It looks better than previous installments, and that's enough in my book.
Liking the game more than I thought I would (after reading so many complaints about it). The animations are much improved (I like how your character has more than one walking and running posture), and combat feels much smoother than before, although it's still easy (not really that much of a problem for me). At least the enemies don't wait for their turn anymore--I noticed they tend to attack in groups now. What I don't like is simplified climbing. I would prefer if they just left it like it was because the game practically does everything for you when you climb. I also can't seem to find a normal run button--there is only the option to sprint.
Anyway, story seems great so far, and Haytham is oh so very cool. Too bad he won't stay with me for the entire game. Connor looks like such a simpleton in comparison (I spoiled a lot of the story for myself by watching YT playthroughs, so I already know I won't like him much ). Then again, I didn't like Ezio in AC2 either (he was awesome in Revelations, however), and that didn't stop me from playing though the game more than once.

Going from badass Haytham to self-righteous Connor is a huge downer in the game.

Yes, deluxe edition unlocks all additional missions, including Lost Mayan Ruins, Ghost of War and Benedict Arnold. Dangerous Secret as well.

Is there no savegame repository? I want to move from Theta crack to Reloaded, but saves are incompatible.

So is deluxe edition content unlocked in RLD release - or do we have to use a savegame with already ulocked stuff?
I assume the activation keys just work with an uncracked version.
