Rise of something somenumber (2?).
Kickass yellow robot and there was this mantis like one omg it was so coooool (
More robofightgames for the pc plz k thx |
Aw man! I think it's the same game im thinking about, we're talking like 15 years old right? I had it for my amiga back in the days, i remember when the fight was over and one of the robots were history all these little (like 6 polygons ) guys would run out and drag it of the screen.
If i could choose one and only one game it would have to be Fallout. But then again id love another MechWarrior game and while LOMAC is a great flightsimulator it gets a bit boring after playing the same theater for over a year so give us something new and fresh in the modern flight combat simulators department.
All in all what i think gaming needs is a comeback in the adventure-game genre. Cause personally i'm getting less and less amused with the FPS and MMORPG dominated gamescene. I'm pretty sure if Lucasarts stopped milking the StarWars franchise and concentrated on a good solid adventure-game like back in the days.. they would clean house.

rise of the robots, yea i played it on my amiga back then, it used the same old crappy photo montage technology as the old mortal kombat games, i never really liked that.
but the game wasnt bad, there werent many good fighting games on amiga
so i played it often.
btw, anyone remember north & south from amiga?
i so loved that game, sure it was simple strategy but was fun controlling the cavalry, infantry and the cannons.
at the end of a battle there d mostly be only 2 infantry guys left shooting at each other, the one standing at a slightly lower position than his opponent would hit without gettin hit himself, i remember that cheap tactic.

and then cannon fodder, oh damn that game was so great, i used to play it all the time. it was a very hard game though, only my dad managed to finish it back then, i mostly got killed in one of the last ice missions where you slide around too much and get hit by a rocket, bleh.
i remember cannon fodder 2 but that game sucked ass, cmon missions in the middle ages with knights blockin your bullets with their shields?
and future missions with robots and shit?
thats just gay...

Talk about Nostaligia.
I had some great fun with most of the games already mentioned, namely Dungeon Keeper, all of the Lucasarts adventure games, Populous and Giants.
Awesome stuff

Eeek! Moonstone, jikes that was one quality game. I loved beheading the other knights.
Also i remembered another game: Dogs of War. Top-down-shooter. Kicked ass in multiplayer

Does anybody remember Wings from Cinemaware on the Amiga? Damn, that was a fine game. There were plans to release an enhanced version for the PC, but CW didn't pay the devs so they dropped it.
That's one game I want back!

Wings ruled. Was really funny strafing the infantry, bombing the houses and torpedoing the ships
