Offical website: http://www.autodesk.com/3dsmax So is this 3dsmax v8.0? (appears so) And no license server stuff anymore? (nfo say's so) Is this just a cut down version, can you still do everything of the original 3dsmax v7.0? (is anything missing?) Seems like they went into a new marketing direction for gamers (and not professionals), but did the also removed and cut down on a lot of stuff to make it 'easier'?! (would be a bad thing imo)

Autodesk doesn't say anything about cutting down features, it only stresses the advanced animation capabilities.
