I wonder what kind of reception the game will get from gamers. On one hand i hope enough people play the game to "open the eyes" of those who own the license for the need to continue the series with a proper instalment... on the other hand... i realy don´t want Beamdog to get the go ahead for Baldurs Gate 3 and fuck it up and the fastest way for that is if the game bombs completely.

well what kind of reception this could get, seriously? i think that most of players who are interested in BGEE already played shitload of original BG games, and ones who didnt will probably be turned off by outdated graphics etc. Devs didnt added really anything new groundbreaking(of cuz except that few npcs and locations), gfx looks the same, higher res was already achievable with mods. Its kinda pathetic that they removed some of the video cutscenes lol, they should at least leave the original ones.
anyway i`ll try this cuz i didnt play bg1 in years but honestly i dont expect i`ll be amazed or even willing to finish it.

meh..
I wont buy it. There is nothing really exceptional about this refresh. I already have the games and play them through the Trilogy mod.
It would have been interesting if they had somehow implemented something like BGT, but they have not. Instead, they seem to be milking the franchise without so much as a hint to a BG 3.
(Or maybe I'm just having a bad day)

shame the game still looks as boring as it did 15 years ago. Never liked the game engine from the period.
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

I bought this and am getting the slowest download speeds ever. I am hoping for a cracked version so I can play my legally bought game before I turn 40. 11 Bytes per second is not an acceptable speed in the year 2012.

wtf, how they release smth like this, geez. created profile (ati card) for baldurs.exe, disabled vsync.
game screems sloopy/rushed release everywhere, the 3d cutscenes are replaced with quasi comic like 2d animated sprites, looks weak as fuck (and they fcking removed few cutscenes for that? wtf).
also graphic options are amazing (gonna leave that for you all to discover by yourselfs, lol)

The remade opening scene feels pretty rushed as well. So far, not really a well done "Enhanced Edition"
