How can I actually uninstall the game and remove the key from being tied to my account?
Cutting a long story short, played the game, didn't like it but now I'm stuck with this game I don't want I think! By the looks of it, if I just uninstall via Windows, the key will be tied to my account (so even if I could return the game for a refund, the poor gamer who got my key wouldn't be able to use it). If I deactivate/delete my account, it looks like the keys get banned.
So am I stuck with this game now?

Nope. You'll have first to install the game, and after launching it will prompt you to enter your serial. Only then it will get tied to Uplay and your account.
