I tried Reloaded version and it runs ok on my PC.. I'm buying the game right now..
I deleted Uplay and the game .... any other stuff to remove before installing the legit version?

Additional guns are unlocked when a mission takes you to the second island, plus there are unique "Signature Guns" unlocked by certain achievements like collecting 10 memory cards.

Ok guys, I've changed my mind. The game is awesome. Really fun just playing it, roaming around. Not even started story yet and it's been fun already.
The graphics are growing on me too. Ultra, ssao, no aa (there seems to be fxaa or something turned on? sweetfx makes the screen black so and game is smoothed so there is fxaa in act)
fps is smooth and around 60 all the time. vsync1, frames ahead 1.
The game is beutifull, smooth (that means no loading, stuttering etc) and animations are fluid. Car driving is nice too. lack of 3rd person camera is a minus but it drives really good in 1st person. I had some crazy moments, just driving a car, suddenlt a cliff is there and car starts rolling down with me panicking and a bunch of komodo geckos waiting down there for me

Does someone with more tech savvy know why the game feels so strange when the fps is below 60? It seems to be smooth only when that magic number is hit. I'd really like to set MSAA to 2 but it drops the fps to around 50. Strangely enough that fps feels weird even to me, someone who is used to playing shooters at 25-30 fps.

OK, this is for the Master HUNTERS out there,
I cannot find a damn BOAR for the life of me, only thing i get is pigs.
Can anyone help ???
EDIT: GOT it BOARS face left on map and PIGS face right

JBeckman are "SSAOLevel="6" in the first section of your config file and then "SSAO=1" in the Post section the best levels of SSAO available?
Btw, I had to make the xml file read only, so the Post section wouldn't get automatically removed after launchng the game. I wonder if the custom Post settings still work that way. I think they do cause I played for a bit and didn't notice the overdone blur, but I'm not completely sure.

At worst I guess they could be like that if they do keep it as a 12.11 beta update, doesn't mean other cards won't see some performance gains though but it could be mostly focused on the GCN (Or what it was called.) architecture in the 7000 series.

A small mammal, rounded with a snout, there are some near the first village, across a little bridge to the south if I remember correctly.
(Should be a herd animal like the buffalo so you'll see a number of them, AI patrols are fairly frequent there though so they might interfere and random events can also happen such as a predator appearing.)

Yeah, those are the max settings for Ambient Occlusion and yes the ones in the Post section work with the file set to read only... everything does I think. I'd also like to point out something about HDAO (value of 6). It works on DX9 too, but you have to turn it on from that file. I mean, I think it works, because I have it on 6 and it's quite subtle. I don't get the huge black glow like I do with SSAO.
I'm happy to report that I managed to find the right settings for my PC. And yeah, some settings only apply after you exit the game, even though it doesn't tell you that. It looks good and it runs good too now. I get 40 fps, give or take a few depending on the scene. I don't usually aim for a really high framerate, but in this game even that feels a bit bad so it's still not as good as I would like, but I can live with it.
Does anybody know if you can apply a better form of AA on DX9? FXAA is ok, but it's a bit blurrier than others. And injectors don't seem to work with this. Without any AA it looks a bit jaggy. I used to not be bothered by that, but ever since I have this GPU I changed. 
@JB SSAO is 1 and HBAO is 3. I also have no idea about what the values in between do as I haven't tried them.

Injectors should work with DX9, you need to put the FX files and others if there are any under \FarCry3\ and the ini and dll under \FarCry3\Bin
