So i guess the fucking cheaters have arrived. I started a multiplayer match and i got assigned to kill someone who was invisible. He just stood at the same spot and not doing anything. There was a brief second he popped up, but he vanished again. Shocker that it was a russian.

Is it just me or is the game a lot easier and more streamlined?

Most of the games released these days can be misleading during the first hour, with missions that are usually incredibly guided (like an extended tutorial) since the gameplay is so hard that derps cannot figure out how to play .
AC3 and FC3 for example, but also Absolution and many others. You need to have patience, and then you'll be rewarded once the game gives you more freedom/less constraints.
But I really miss the times when you had the game, with no helps, and you had to discover things yourself..

Finished the story yesterday, but ignored most of the side missions Are the side missions good enough to bother with them instead of playing Far Cry 3.
I don't want to spend five hours trying all the side activities, only to be bored by them.

If AC3 is an indication of how the series is going, I wont be buying it. The biggest disappointment with AC3 for me was the side missions. They're boring and pointless. Courier/assassination contracts/delivery and the Homestead missions didn't appeal to me at all. Even the so called Benedict DLC was bad. The only thing left is the Naval and Pegleg misions. I liked them.

Just finished Assassin's Creed 3. Bittersweet ending, but still better than Mass Effect 3.
So What to play first, Hitman or Far Cry 3?

Far Cry 3 as we're waiting for some important gameplay tweaks to get patched in for Hitman.

Far Cry 3 is really just a Desmond dream.

AC1 may have the best atmosphere but that does not excuse the terrible and repetitive gameplay. At least the sequels brought some variety into it all.

Agreed. After just 4-5 hours of AC1 I started to rush through it because it got so damn repetitive and boring.
Personally I would place AC1 as the worst AC game of the all, the only redeeming factor oddly was the desmond parts since at that time there was some mystery to it instead of the recent games where desmond is just another douchebag surrounded by ridiculous stereotypes that any 12 year old kid could come up with.
