Finished it, awesome shooter Smile
The animations were done exceptionally well, special mention goes to Vaas of course.
Citra oozed sex, again... animations + facial expression + voice acting.
Fresh change from the "robotic" animations you see in other games.

Yes, definitely. If anything, finish the campaign. It's worth one playthrough atleast.

meh.. the fact alone that stealth works incredibly well FINALLY in this game, makes it worth playing. i think the story handling is kinda rubbish (OMG I GOTTA SAVE MY BROTHER AND FRIENDS... but first ill play some cards, run over a tiger, and maybe help this woman who is concerned that her husband is cheating on her.. spoiler, he is.. with another dude..)

its just silly as a narrative

but the gameplay is fun as hell, and theres so much to explore and find... i can just imagine how amazing it would be if bethesda or obsidian did a fallout game in an engine like this... oh please oh please.... working stealth, fantastic visuals, add in some decent rpg content and get rid of that shitty vats stuff... Drooling

I have no idea what you're talking about. I crouched in a bush a small distance from a base and sniped some guy, and the result was that every enemy in the camp knew my exact position and those maniacs with knives came at me and started slicing. I'm talking about the "hubert shore power" base. I've tried alot of different approaches silently and each time those with knives come running straight for me.

If someone SEES someone get sniped, they'll figure out your general position.
Assault guys will start running at your position and others will take aim.
But that's your POSITION, you can simply run away and around and start flanking.
Of course, you do need a good exit strategy so no one sees you "exit" the position.

It all comes down to who sees what (body, someone getting killed, you, etc).
They will respond to the different facts with different reactions, which are all predictable.

do they figure out your position after 1 shot ? because that is NOT realist AT ALL. A sniper rifle shot (i.e. high powered rifle, non muzzled, non silenced) is so freaking loud, that a human ear (sense) has no idea, where its coming from the first time around. Only once you are aware of the noise (second shot) you're able to figure out the "general" direction where the shot came from. Never the first one.

well ive sniped lots of enemies.

with a silencer they dont see me for shit

without, they hear the shot and start scanning in my general direction, if i DONT duck out of sight, of course they will eventually see me.

this is stuff i've personally noticed... the stealth works incredibly well... i mean its not ultra realistic or anything (in real life people dont just shrug and give up hunting for the person that just killed 5 of their comrades when they dont see you for 10 seconds Very Happy) but as a gameplay mechanic goes, its much better than its been in the past.

well, i seen many examples of silenced shots (pistols, rifles, smg's etc) and seriously, its near impossible to figure out, where they're coming from. Its rather impressive.

well i stand by what i said. ive used silenced weapons, quiet weapons and big-ass loud motherfuckers, and ive NEVER felt ripped off by detection or felt that the game was cheating, to the point i actively enjoy scoping out and planning base attacks.

When I use the suppressed sniper rifle, they just start running around looking. I've never seen anyone run directly towards me the instant I took the shot.

Sorry for asking again but my previous post is being ignored Sad

Is there a way to use the savegames from my buddies computer? We started playing the game together last night on his pc, I took a copy of the save files home. When I copy the save files to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\ff28dbf6-xxxxx-xxxx-xxxxx-xxxx\46 the game does not recognize them. WTF? When i log into my friends uplay account, the game recognizes the save and i can continue from where we left off (about six hours into the game). I already turned of that "synch-savegames-to-cloud" option in uplay.. Don't want to start the game from the beginning again... can anybody tell me if there is a way to get the saves working?

The second island was piss-easy to liberate, 90% of the time, there was a good sniping position right above the base, on a huge hill.

Is the game getting any better than the start? I just hunted the 2 boars and I was already frustrated by the mission boundaries And why did they implement a SAVE button? I was never able to use it (currently on a mission, etc).

The outposts are also smaller and some are located fairly close to each other.

Radio towers were a bit trickier though but none of them were truly difficult, just requires a bit of patience so you can see where to climb next.
(Without having the character mantling over the railing and falling to his death, ha ha.)

I haven't had any mission boundary warnings since the first hour of the game (already 15+ hours into it).

Alright, I just finished the game. I've spent about 20 hours. FC3 is definitely 3rd on my GOTY list, right after DayZ and Dark Souls.

It gets much much better, I too was rather skeptical with the game until the turorial missions stopped and I had freedom of the map. I have played a lot hours on the game now and still havent bothered with the first real mission to find Dr.Earnhardt.
Just exploring, fighting, having random encounters. Great game so far.
