Accidentally used that tool on my legit save now the fucker won't work. Had finished and was just finishing off loose things. Bit pissed off. He says he's adding the option to convert to UPlay saves though so I'll just have to be patient.

why the fuck is my convoy always under attack? It's been like that for a few days, is this a glitch, or do I just need to get to a further part in the game?
Just started sequence 7 and I don't know if it's me or how the game is, but I never had a tutorial on how convoys work, let alone sending out my assassins on missions. Gawd! Sometimes I need to have my hand held, and this was one of those times. It's like all of a sudden you can do these things and I had no idea about it.
You know, I really was enjoying the game, and then BAM, now I see all the shit people were talking about. Don't get me wrong I still love the game, but some of that magic is now gone :/
Climbing trees is a fucking pain in the ass sometimes, horse pisses me off all the time, combat is just too fucking easy, and at the same time a chore. I need tutorials here, not everything is explained, and I feel like I'm missing out on so much because of it. Hit and miss with this fucking game.

Taking over Forts will lower the chance of attack on your convoys in that region by 10%, down to a minimum 10%. Same with naval missions, down to a minimum 5%, although 2 of my naval convoys still showed a 80% chance of attack..
Game is full with bugs

I don't suppose anyone here has played this on an AMD 8-core, particularly the FX-8350, or any other? I'm curious to know how the FPS is at 'that' spot.

I don't know what spot you're talking about but my FPS ranges from as low as 30 to as high as 90 (average is around 45-50). I'm on a 8350 and 670gtx.

What do you mean convoys were not explained? There was a "quest" to send out your first convoy early in the game, it told you specifically how you do it, and it even told you about the risks etc. (unless you're not at that point yet or you don't do Homestead missions, which is again your own fault.)
The same with assassins- there was a prompt to hold t and then there is a fucking HUGE text on the left side "press left click to send assassins to missions" Why do you blame the game for something that is so utterly obvious?
"Combat is easy, I need tutorials there"???

I never saw they convoy mission, which is strange enough, as for assassins being sent out, the only thing I ever saw for that was the map for sending them out on missions which came up by itself, never saw a message to actually hold the button to bring that up unless I looked away from the screen while that was happening.
Combat is easy in the sense that all I have to do it hold down a button to deflect/avoid/roll away from attacks, and then slam the attack button, just feels like EZ-mode to me, didn't you actually have to time these attacks in previous AC games?. Tutorials would be nice, for things like attack while running, push guys off the roof, attack from horse...etc Maybe I'm just too spoiled these days
Either way, not trying to argue or anything over here, just expressing some of my frustration with the game which I still love, just wish certain things were done a bit differently.

You must send assassins to convoys. If you're too late, the convoy is gone and you have to build another one.
I agree it's a bit confusing since the menu system sucks major ass. Pro-tip, fuck the convoys, they're worthless.

I played for an hour and 33 minutes. How long is the prologue with Haytham?

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

So I take it the main story is longer than 5-6 hours?

Since I'll be reinstalling Windows, how can I back-up my save games using Uplay (the same goes for Far Cry 3)? Or do I just install the games and they'll automatically synchronize with Ubi's Cloud and download the saves from there?

Are you completely sure? I don't want to lose hours upon hours of gameplay. Since the only place I've so far found that the saves are being kept in is in Uplay's main folder?

If you skip all the cutscenes (like me), the main story is about 7-8 hours long. You spend more time watching a movie than actually playing the game.
