True, but this one should be a more proper-ish entry on paper (unlike the painfully bland Syndicate aberration ), or at least that's what the rumours claimed.

hmm...
i suppose, possibly i could go for a soul reaver remake if it was done properly, i have to say though, paying for it wouldn't ever happen for me, the other ones were decent and entertaining enough, but i wasn't a fan of them really, they were decent enough, but not a lot more than that, that was also quite a lot of years ago, i was in my teens i think actually and frankly.... i don't know, i'm remembering it being quite a lot of things that just wouldn't cut the mustard for me today.

i would like to remind everyone who says the gameplay or the game itself wasnt that special about the fact that soulreaver was out at a time where tomb raider was popular but soul reaver had actually proper and accurat controls. Additionally it had finishg moves and another dimension in which you could traverse

While I wasn't fond of the gameplay of the later games in the Soul Reaver series I simply adored the voice acting and the story. I played the game just for that although the story is got extremely confusing after awhile.

Very, very good news indeed! If they manage not to ruin it, that is.

"Oh the self-irony of it all!" As long as they don't use the word "irony" as much as the original games (seriously someone says it at least once in every conversation) it might be good. Also Raziel should stop being such an idiot/everyone's errand boy.

Yes, because Bastion, Shadow Complex, The Guardian of Light, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, From Dust, American Nightmare, I Am Alive, War of the Worlds, Journey and other downloadable distributed titles prove exactly that.

One of the most atmospheric games ever created with a truly awesome character.

The story is what really made me buy the games, it was like reading a really good book. Albeit with shitty gameplay.

I loved them, but Defiance had really fucked up gameplay, after SR2 I couldn't get used to the movement in Defiance. I loved the whole world and story behind the Blood Omen series tho
Oh and sad that the guy who gave voice to the Elder God died He had amazing voice...

The first Soulreaver had a good gameplay compared to other action-adventure games that existed this time (1999).
SR 2 and Defiance was mediocre in terms of gameplay but had a good, even though confusing story.

Too bad Amy Hennig, the writer moved on to Uncharted on PS3.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Soul Reaver 1 is best on Dreamcast. The Dreamcast port was the first project of Nixxes, and they managed to improve the graphics considerably beyond even the PC version, while also managing to run @60. DC ISO + nullDC is the way to go.
