"and the apprentice of The Boss under the codename of Naked Snake during the Cold War."
Big Boss's codename was Naked Snake as someone said before.
Hmmm but... they pretty much closed the whole story up in MGS4... yeah it could be expanded but.... all the incognito facts and stories where told. Well its Hideo, maybe he can open a new saga with the current ending.
We've been told for quite a while that Project Ogre is Kojima Productions' open-world debut to show off the new FOX Engine. So last week when the developer showed off Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, an open-world game running on the FOX Engine, many of us naturally assumed the two were one-in-the-same. But you know what they say about assuming.
Series creator Hideo Kojima has issued a long (and somewhat confusing) tweet denying the notion. "While I am happy to know people liked 'MGS Ground Zeroes', I'm sick & tired of people keep asking me like 'is that project Ogre?' here in Seattle everyday," he said. "Project Ogre is what the project that Ogre appears. Ogre does not appear in 'MGS Ground Zeroes' trailer."
So there you have it. Ground Zeroes isn't Ogre because it doesn't have an Ogre in it. Whether that means Project Ogre is a tech demo, or a full-fledged project, or some sort of Ground Zeroes tie-in, remains to be seen. But you have to hand it to Kojima, he actually managed to make his current project slate almost as baffling as the plot of his games.

@banish - He mentions that the demo they show is running on a PC "comparable to today's console hardware". Take it with a grain of salt though as I'm sure there is some truth to it but it might be misconstrued or something.

Who cares about gameplay. It's one of the few next-gen looking titles out there so BRING IT ON.
I can't wait for this game and this made me even more excited. I loved this aspect about Peace Walker. I hope they allow us to actually walk around and see the changed over time.
I still believe it wont come out this gen.
They just can't talk about next gen consoles yet.
then... "whoooops! its delayed"

The aesthetics remind me of F.E.A.R. 2's hospital environments.

Probably MGS: Ground Zeroes = MGS: The Phantom Pain = MGS V.

Hopefully both of them will be out on the PC... assuming that we're really talking about different games and PP doesn't end up being a second chapter of the game, like they did with MGS2.

"It is multiplatform, just to set the record straight," he said. "Would be great to see some exclusive content, but I don't reckon we'll know anything for a loooong time on that."
Multiplatform and running on PC hardware != it'll release on PC.
Konami lists both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain (via the faux MDS site) as PS360 only.
