You should bought the original, it was 9 euros several days ago, it's worth every cent.
edit: Original as in "non-pirated", not original game (Torchlight 1)

How is the coop? does everyone get the story when someone talks to an npc? Some of these games just lets the one starting a conversation see it, and that's not working for me or the one i plan to coop with.

So dialogues wont pop up for you if your coop partner clicks on them, you will get the quest though and you can check the dialogue in the quest menu.
IMO this is better than D3 where you have the story and dialogue constantly shoved down your throat 1000000000000 times.

Been wondering the same, not sure if I should give it a try and finish it, or wait for decent class mods. The Vanilla ones are bland as fuck and boring.

Very boring as an ember mage, the spells are extremely boring and only prismatic missile is useful, the rest are just there as fillers. Even the fireball is meh. I just wished the spells were more unique and interesting. I mean its what makes the game fun

There are plenty of viable builds. Check out the runic forums for ideas.

I thought the Ember Mage had the best kit of all if you want variety. Frost/Lightning is really nasty combo. If you load up and just go all out Prismatic Bolt.. well, it's not going to be all that fun and relatively mindless.

You can do NG+ or mapworks. Harder difficulty, better loot, randomization, etc. Above average for a game of this type imo.
