pretty good so far! Just got passed the demo parts. I must say, I had much better items when playing the demo :s I guess that was to give you a glimpse of what's to come - oh well! 3 hours in and my so far my party hasnt died once.
Also- am I the only one who cant create a new gamespy account in the "multiplayer" window? I guess we'll have to wait till the 16th for MP ^^ Peace,

There is no strategy involved in making your character uber and then just walking into a group of mobs and waiting for them to die.

Good experience here so far. But if i am understanding the game correctly you can only have four groupmembers in the first difficulty.. That really pisses me off.. I want at least six members. For me two tanks is pretty much necessary and after that you mix rangers and mages. But max four groupmembers forces me to exclude a class. Thats crap Sad

Intro was excellent & game has a distinctive look - slightly more *cartoony* than DS1. Suppose they went for the WC3 feel ;-P

I wish i could play multiplayer, tried a LAN Emlator that works for various games (Battle.Lan Made for blizzard games but it do work in other games aswell) We came to the lobby where we could chat but we could not find each others games Sad
I bet it does work with Kali but i hate that shit, is there any better Lan Emulators out there?

Seems great except for the fact that you can't just hold the mouse button down and drag the cursor to move your character. Not sure why thought forcing people to click every twenty steps is better than the traditional method.

Anyone knows how to make the EAX work ?
Because when I put the option ON it says that it couldn't detect the sound card or something.

The thing is is that after it says that the option stays ON.

I got an Audigy 2 so I dont get it.

Thanks

*My drivers are update also and all my settings are fine in the dxdiag mode.

About the Win2K issue:

About a month ago Micro$oft stopped the support for Win2k because it's too old.
No more service packs, updates, and no new developers tools are being released by M$.
This means, without tools that are up to date, developers now can't ensure that new software runs on Win2K and Hardware manufacturers will soon stop releasing new drivers for 2k.

99% of the software reseased at this time will sitill run on 2K, but there simply is no guarantee. If you have a problem don't expect it to get fixed in a patch. The Developers will simply tell you that you're running it on a non-supported platform.

At this time it souldn't be a problem. Most stuff will still run, but I guess in about half a year, the number of new programms/games that work on Win2K will be dropping, just like todays games rarely work on Win98.

Until 2 weeks ago, I was still on 2k myself because I hate XP, but now I've upgraded. You should do the same. Without M$ support, 2K is dead. Let it rest in peace.

lol its not like NWN at all. if angle is from above and game is 3d doesnt mean its like NWN. NWN was serious game basted on strict D&D rules, while DS2 is fun action rpg game, all (at least in demo) conversations has voice overs, nice storyline, very pretty, nice gameplay, works very well. multiplayer should be kickass too, i loved DS1 multiplayer.

is it the archer door in the dungeon with no other melee/magic door?
if yes, there is a door on the wall, u need to use the mouse to point at it so that it is easier to be seen
just keep looking for it, the archer door u can just leave it alone.....

I played it for about 40 minutes, and I hated it from the start. I'm sick of these shallow point and click "adventures". They make me think of standardised Hollywood.

Bleh.

Well played this for 8 hours so far & it is *amazing*. Gameplay kinda weird compared to DS1 but world is packed with detail. Using advanced shaders, trilinear filtering & complex shadows - looks a jewel. Fights can be very tough - the Garganturax battle was insane (!) World is *huge* & I still have loads of primary & secondary quests just in the forest area to do. Going to shell out for this one for sure Smile
