(About AP)

Quote:
Many players have complained about two things: Not being able to move the bodies (ala Splinter Cell) and choosing a dialogue option which doesn’t really match what the player was expecting Thorton to say. Was that a design choice to streamline the game, or were there other reasons? Do you think those two aspects could be improved in a sequel?

Sure, we had a lot of items we took from game reviews and feedback and had them in a doc for AP2 – and those two elements definitely could be refined and improved on a second iteration of the game.

Improving upon the faults and other weaknesses in the sequel is always a good thing, of course listening to what the reviews and fans say is also important but it tends to work out in unpredictable ways as some of this years sequels have shown pretty clearly. Smile
(That said I liked Alpha Protocol though Obsidian has been a bit all over in these recent games, heh that's not exactly new though and overall I enjoyed most of them but they certainly had flaws and other issues.)

And yet another game Obsidian works on along with the other 3000, this one is for a "leading animation franchise"

He's even got a dream project: Knights of the Old Republic III. On next-gen consoles.

Urquhart said. "I think a lot of gamers would be disappointed as well."

Also this is interesting Very Happy :

"We as a company got into a big room and we said, ‘We are not gonna make buggy games anymore,'" Urquhart said.

So they designed an entirely new bug-tracking system—a computerized program that automatically sends crash reports to their engineers. Their last bug-recording system, Urquhart said, involved pens and paper.

"I think that's what people are gonna see from us from now on—they're not gonna see buggy products," he said. "I dunno what the exact count is, but we're a ways away from being done on South Park and we've already fixed 10,000 bugs."

My dream project: Obsidian working together with Bethesda on TES6, which is focusing on the Dwemer mystery.

As for KOTOR3, I don't see it happening since 1) Bioware and 2) Disney taking over everything Lucas.

Before jumping around and declaring they'd like to do everything, why don't they concentrate and focus on
finishing up their current workload properly without any chopped content and making it bug-free?
