Just updated to the latest Multiman & Rogero ...... all my PSN games don't work now but I was kinda of expecting that, so what have I missed on PSN from 3.55 > 4.30 ..... Any games you can recommend ?!?
What else can I do on my machine now, what is Showtime and how does it work !?! Can I get on PSN ?? I have PS+ for my Vita but I can't sign into PSN on my PS3 right !?!?

it was hard for me to make this decision but a few days ago cobra finally shipped to me…
3 days and now its all over.
Security is good enough, but not without big security risks. But it still the best crypto/obfuscation what I had seen on ps3. Sony have something to learn from this guys, especially now.
Cobra / True Blue almost identical, have the same source code, if you ever hacked 1 thing, 2nd wouldnt be a problem. The main functionality, honestly, not changed since original jb. Thats a shame. Thats why I cracking them like nuts |

showtime is a media player for jailbroken ps3, but from within showtime you can dowload plugins like navi-x. navi-x is the best plugin since sliced bread, links to practically any movie/tv show and lots of streaming live tv all wrapped up in a nice ui

Any of you showtime users know if its possible to use an external usb drive to play >4GB 1080p mkv files? I can play up to 4GB from usb... but >4GB needs ntfs right? I can't find much info on this.

showtime can mount ntfs volumes. showtime for multiman had it as soon as it came out but needed caching on internal hdd. just check the lastest showtime app, should be able to play it just fine

I'm in one of the older versions of 4.30.
Can someone tell me the needed steps to upgrade to v2.03 (directly from xmb?)?
I can't find a definitive method.
Do I also need to install multiman before upgrading?

Suppose if I have the game disc which is lower than console firmware so I can run it without any problems but if a patch comes in which requires higher firmware how do I make it run from disc I.e I don't want to copy 40gb but want to play from disc

1st ban wave was already happening during the 3.55 era. This is nothing new. They are banning again for about 1 month now.

The patch executable takes over, so you don't have to backup your disc. You just need to decrypt the EBOOT.BIN from the patch and reencrypt it for your FW (and patch SDK version to 4.30 for example if let's say it's a 4.40 game, which wont exist for a while), and edit param.sfo accordingly. You don't need to backup your game at all.

This is a remaster, all assets have increased polygons, and better textures, so it looks a lot better than the XBOX 1 version. And as said, even if it was the exact same game, does it make Pacman shitty because it's a 80's game ?

you do it in the folder the update is in ie. hdd0/game/BLUSXXXXX for example since thats where the game is going to load from after an update (not games folder, game folder)

I forgot to tell you that this wouldn't be enough because the hdd metadata cache would still think it needs the newer firmware. Editing param.sfo is nice, but the metadata cache wont update if you cannot run the game in the first place.
For that, either repack the PKG of the update from your PC with the edited eboot and param.sfo, or edit directly the metadata cache index, in hdd0/mms/idontrememberwhichfileinthisfolder

This package isn't really unbanning per se. Your console is still banned, it just spoofes your IDPS with another one.
Won't take much time for Sony to finally block random IDPS (funny thing is that they did one time, but for some reason they don't anymore) and block this app I guess.

In the end, he just spoofes IDPS. When Sony prevents you from connecting with a made up IDPS, his app will fail to work.
It's a cat & mouse game, and I think it's useless and he should have kept his trick for himself.
