There are 3 Acts & each Act has approx 10 primaries & 10 secondaries so approx 60 missions total (!) *BiG* Only pain is the limit of 4 party members at mercenary level - I want 8 !!!!

What chars are people playing this with? I have 2 melee fighters dual wield (!), 1 archer & 1 nature mage - seems to be a good combo. Anyone hired that Dire Wolf as a party member? Any good?

Im training a pure Nature mage, with no companions, mainly because i dont want to share the exp.. The Ice Elemental pet and the summoned creatures should be enough to get me through, although it does get a little tough sometimes. In DS1 I played with 4 characters and 4 donkeys (single player of course), but now im taking a different approach since I only really used 1 of those characters later on in multiplayer.
Q> Can you take your pets to a multiplayer game? Or you just buy a new one and it has the same stats?
Q> What kind of pet would you think works best with certain character?
For instance a dire wolf would work best with a melee fighter or it would be best used with a mage to balance the team out?

Thats nice, Diablo isn't even an RPG. Its a hack and slash repetitive adventure game. ooo lets do another baal run....excellent role you're playing..time traveller right? so you can keep going back and doing the same thing over and over..

Looks like Kali won't work either. You can find each other in the chat room but you can't see the games in the list when someone creates.
Have anyone tried any other application to run Lan games on the net?
I've tried Battle.Lan and same thing there...

Hey guys
Ive got a friend that when he starts the game is screen goes black and he gets a message from is Lcd saying that he needs to adjust the resolution to 800x600 or something.
But even then the settings applyed to that resolution it still dosint boot the game and gets the same message.
Whats up with that ?? Anyone have an idea ??
Hes native resolution should be 1280x1024. And still dosint work...
Thanks

Bugs n Tips (bugs marked with *):
*When you are in the beginning wilderness area, and click on the ! quest NPC (gives quest to rescue another particular npc being held captive), if you, or any member of your party attack/are attacked while talking to the NPC, the dialogue box will close, the NPC will run off as scripted, and you will be unable to take the quest.
Don't bother with Rampage mode. This will get you into more shit than its worth. Several times I've had my party member run a good 2-3 screens distance suicidally pulling all mobs and dying
Press K to to toggle health/mana bars below your characters feet. I find it easier to keep track of HP that way...as shit tends to hit the fan very quickly, and there are no noticeable cues that you are about to die until about .1 seconds before you do. The character healthbars are located in an extremely shitty position. Interface is kinda bad IMO.
Always always explore side routes/areas as they 9 times out of 10 have hidden chants/items etc.
Now a question for those of you that have progressed some (chapter 2 or above maybe?) :
Are the pets REALLY worth it?
I mean, christ, you have to feed him hundreds of gold worth of items just to mature him a single stage. That, added to the fact that they have EXTREMELY poor pathing AI (They get stuck/don't attack quite often for me), and combined with the fact that you presumably get greater options as to what to chose later on in the game, makes it seem kinda like a lame gimmick to be honest.
Ex. I grab the ice elemental from chapter 1, feed him thousands of gold worth of sellable items, mature him maybe a level or two. But then I get to chapter x, see a much more stats worthy pet, and have to start him from fledgling again if I chose em eh? Effectivley rendering my initial item investment worthless. Thoughts?
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

For me its "U" not "K".

Rasing a pet doesn't take that long. I had a mature adult one by chapter 9, act 1. Its worth feeding it the good items, dont bother with selling the loot, gold is not very important. I think the pet can evolve much further than you think. Its appereance should not change past the adult stage, but the stats keep growing.

I think this game is ace. I just miss a little more stratergy fights. Monsters should have more immunity/weakness. As a combat mage, I can just use my fireballs all the time. It would be cool if some monster could reflect magic, was immune to melee and so on.
If that was the case it would be a lot more rewarding with multi feats. As it is now you should just stick to your main feat.

I have just reached the Elven Temple and a ranger door is blocking my way, the problem here is that I dont have any points in ranged and the henchmen for hire is too low to open the door. How do I proceed?

How do I proceed? | If this door has an archery sign over it then you must equip an archer in your party to open it. Teleport to the town, enter the inn & hire an archer if available.
