I mean the only one game on that list that has just a few problems is Dishonored. Anything else....

Borderlands 2 has a number of optimization issues. Even though it offers a nice variety of options, the game is unable to take advantage of three or four CPU cores at various scenes, resulting in low performance.

I was impressed with how good Syndicate ran. Sure the graphics are not particularly demanding, but usually games run <100fps on my system, while this ran >100.

I like FC3, but it shouldn't even be on that list because it's not that well optimized.

2, 3, 4, 6, 8 - I agree that these are well optimized

5, 6, 10 - I don't know

9 - what the fuck is it doing on the list?!

Of course Syndicate ran fine, you can't see shit.

Laughing

I kinda agree about the other games, even though some of them were graphically unimpressive (ie Darkness 2, Dishonored).

When you can see shit, it's not looking worse than your average game while it performs better.

I think maybe the game was soo fucking cool you actually had to use shades to play it! I tried it once with my shades and I also felt as awesome as the programmers.

Hitman Absolution, Borderlands 2 and Max Payne 3 might be the most optimized games I've played this year.

Have to agree with Leo on this, Absolution ran as complete horseshit on my rig. Not properly optimized for even AMD Crossfire, while it's a fucking AMD title...

Yeah it's odd that the game advertises AMD sponsorship and it runs bad on AMD cards. It runs with amazing frame-per-seconds on my rig (NVIDIA) and 99% gpu usage at all times. All maxed-out except for AA which I set to 4X (as 8X eats more vram than my video card has).

I have a 680 so no AMD fault in this case. I guess all that shine in 47's head caused the game to reach 20s on my card. Laughing
Even AC3 ran much much smoother for me than this garbage.

Man, that really surprises me. Your card is much better than mine (GTX 570). The only occasion I had some kind of performance problem was when setting AA to 8X. During the transitions from one level to the next (like when picklocking the exit door) it stuttered bad. But after lowering the AA to 4X, even that is gone.

The stuttering was massive when i tried to run it off the HDD, tho SSD solved this (even tho it was still noticable).. But i have said that before in the HM topic, the games uses like 10k loose files or so...

Well my HDD is the Spinpoint F3, so it's not THAT bad of a drive aswell. But since moving it to SSD nearly solved all stuttering, i don't really care anymore Razz

Right, any game that requires an SSD to not stutter is a piece of shit unoptimized garbage. This didn't use to be an issue, back when memory management was a proper one and a lot of the assets could be loaded to the memory. But now with these console junks, games have to stream constantly. But this streaming has to be optimized, not just carry the puny 128x128 texture streaming code from the console and call it a day. Rolling Eyes

Weird, Total Biscuit also has a 680 and he didn't have framerate problems. I'm detecting user problem. Pffchh

Right. Because lack of optimization has never been known to cause completely inconsistent results. Laughing
