For every one the LOTR trilogy is an enjoyable good action fantasy movies series.
But for the people well versed in Tolkien fantasy world is degenerate in an superficial action staff from the nice and deep fantasy adventure that the prototype is.
And the new trilogy have the same strengths and shortcomings, like the first one.

Wow butthurt much?
Hope you get all the fairy world fantasies you want for christmas kiddo.

So are you and Tom Bobadil the same user by chance? And no one has proven me wrong least of all Tom Bobadil, who didnt even reply other than some jokey remark.
I will gladly partake in arguments on this forum but only if the other part is serious and not just trolling. So do you have an actual opinion or are you just a troll?

No they are just the same user - try and check it out. They joined within 3 days of eachother 2 months ago, both with Tolkien names and are in the same threads more or less. And only Gollllum thinks Tom Bobabils jokes are funny Laughing

I like how this thread is entitled 'The Hobbit (2010)' Laughing

Was that meant to be the release date originally?

Just came across a Russian version made in 1985!

CM8 Doing It Right The First Time :D

Source: DVDSCR - Thekillingjoke  Big Thx

Happy New Year btw, first day of the year and its gonna happen!

Encode:

As you imagine it took some time, loads of security in it, days of work i can tell you, all for the security of the source.
Firstly there were watermarks, starting with small numbers counting from 0 to 9 randomly hardcoded in the video,
and that during the whole movie, popping up mainly in the centre eye of the video half lucent.
some kind of weird code for identifying dont know, cant blur them only when they appear, would be around 300.000 of them
so made small constant blur spots over the 20 spots where they randomly appear, now they are gone, wont effect the viewing
hardly seeable unless you are searching for it on purpose.
second watermark is a long line also hardcoded in the video with exact details of owner, had to blur that parts only when they appear
none of this line watermark appears twice on the same spot, so had to blur each one manually and adjust them.
that was a pita, 720 cuts were necessary to remove them, some are above, below left or right, not that much are in
the center of viewing, but some are, and if its daylight you will see them slightly, only appear 10sec each time
there is no other way to get it anymore secure.

sample is a bit longer,i chose a spot where you can see the blurs
the quality was already amazing, only added sharpness, well and the blurs
the video is complete nothing is cut out.

decided to make 2 versions one as usual for quality, size 2.4gb 720x304 @1700
and another for guys with lower bandwith size 1.4gb  640x272 @1000

its a big risk going out with this movie, hope you appreciate my work

I am a big fan of Lord of the Rings, watched each in cinema, and if you are too you should also go to the cinema and support the producer
and watch the movie on a big screen, in 3d perhaps with the higher framerate.

enjoy

Video: 720x304 @bitrate 1700 2pass
Audio: English AC3 2.0 Stereo

Anyone else get stuttering with this release? I have the K Lite codecs installed but I have also tried with VLC player (which I think uses it's own codecs) and the problem is still there.

horseshit. i watched it and its definately better than an OK cam... its a bog-standard dvdscr, nothing special, but not cam quality.

and i suspect its stuttering because of having every second frame stripped out, and then bumped back up to 29.975? its noticeable, but at times its more noticeable than others... if you're enjoying the film, its not going to kill the experience for you.... not if you've already decided you can handle the blurriness of anything less than hd Smile

if anything, the biggest problem was that the sound was pretty low. clear, but quiet.

I have seen my share of dvdscreeners through the years, and this is among the worst i've seen. Most dvdscreeners are fairly good, just the black and white parts that is ruining the experience.

And ok, ill give you the cam you posted looks worse, but i can say for certain that the release i mentioned doesn't look like the picture you posted above.

i actually replaces the image as a direct scene comparison. its a picture i just took just now from the release you mentioned.

i guess my eyes are fucked, because i still dont believe that the two pictures look about the same.

to me, the ONLY problems this dvdscr has, that makes it 'worse' than the average, is the stuttering (again, im sure this is a 48fps conversion problem), and the lower volume. otherwise, it is what it is. dvdscr's come in a variety of qualitys, and video-clarity wise, its about average.

sure as hell isnt comparable to cam quality.
