I'm thinking on upping to £85. This is the only game that I would invest such money. Like Tungsten it's a dream, old dream, I have to see a new Elite come out. No other computer game would entice me to that absurd amount... Well maybe Operation Flashpoint II.
If it's a flop, well, at least it will be a fulfilled dream and it will cost me the same I would spent with three bottles of Dimple. Never did the math for how many happy hours I get with a bottle of Dimple...

I've backed enough projects this year, and the way they started their campaign didn't exactly inspire confidence so.. skippity-skip Smile

The word Multi-player killed it....Sheesh,give us the damned single player campaign the original had. Many people could care less about playing online.

There was no campaign in elite. Later remakes did have some missions added. But there was no story just open trading and combat ect.

Indeed this is not Wing Commander or X-wing. This was probably the first or one of the firsts sandbox games.

Not really getting my hopes up for this, nor reading too much into it as I'll just get hyped up for it... but if they can nail the free roaming / exploring / trading / piracy of the originals then it'll be amazing.

As expected Elite: Dangerous will get funded. Though i must admit i was starting to get a bit nervous around 6-700k, when only hitting around 8k daily.

Around 25k to go now Smile

the totals are going quite crazy now, even the stretch goals dont seem too far fetched now, but if you asked me 3 or 4 days ago, i would have been unsure if it would even reach its funding target

Mac stretch reached, now on to the 1,5mil mark and 10 extra ships on release day. If we get as many money pledged as yesterday, that will be reached easily.

Not bad, kinda surreal watching those Cobras fighting in a modern-quality CGI trailer. Very Happy

Now, gameplay please.
