I'm not gay, and you are a homophobe. Maybe it's time to grow up?
Why does it bother you that the possibility of same sex romances exist in a game? It's not like you have to pursue them. With your logic gay people should be bothered, that hetero romances exist in games.

There is nothing wrong with homosexuality. But that does not mean it HAS to be in the game. This has become a standard for BioWare to have same sex romance in their games. What I question about this is when they design the game, does having same sex romance add anything to the game. This seems like it is added for the sake of having it.
And this becomes a problem in the way the romance system is implemented. Especially the way they "flag" romance progression. DA2 was the biggest offender, when you just try to be friendly and helpful to your companions, the game thinks your character is gay. The same happens in ME3, however the good thing is ME3 has Paragon prompts, if you don't press it, you'll avoid it.

You're right about political correctness if, like now, it gets implemented afterwards due to complaints or whatever. However, it was in other games (ME, DA) from the start and I don't mind at all. I actually like it, even though I'm 100% straight.
Having the option in is awesome imo. More choice is always good. However I wouldn't like this getting in the way of other possible romances or stories "because it should be in", as you probably mean.

I too dont have anything against it being in games, but what dannofdawn pointed out is true, on Dragon Age 2 it was retarded, out of nowhere i would have Anders saying awkward stuff to my character, it felt really wrong lol

I get really annoyed when even the notion of homosexuality is shown when I'm interacting with my companions, because it is the limit of the system's fault. Once again, because of the way the system works, it is very easy for the game to consider your character at least interested in same sex romance if you are just nice to them. Lets not forget the fact that TOR's conversation system supports only 3 responds at most, and most of the time there is only 2 when you have to make decisions.

The problem with friendship turning into romance in games is a mechanics problem, not a sexuality problem. It works exactly the same for different sex relations.

Except different sex relations are still the majority of this society, and definitely the norm here. I don't think anything more need to be said about why that is.
You cannot forget that it is quite common for people to be negatively impacted (from disgust to awkwardness) when enocuntering someone who, not only is homosexual, but is hitting on you as well. Now add to the fact that the game system is limited and misinterpreted the players' stance on sexuality, it can be infuriating. That does not mean they are homophobic however. You seem to be the one who think having more options in a game is always good, which is never the case.

Uhm, you're being a bit unfair now. Sexual instincts are strong and you don't need to be homophobic to feel uneasy/uncomfortable if someone from the same gender is hitting on you. It's all about how the paradigm shift in instinct affects you. It's perfectly natural for heterosexual people to feel unease if they see homosexual porn of the same gender, it's simply an instinct. I don't know how gay people feel about female sex but I guess it's at the very least not a turn-on.
The homophobic issue comes up when it goes further than that, when people look down upon, hate or get disgusted by the mere existence of bi/homosexuality etc..

I specifically said "disgusted". Feeling awkward is natural, happens sometimes even if it's a person of the sex you're interested in.
