Anyway, I agree that she needs therapy, I said that earlier in the thread. It's not as if her crime is serious. But I wanted to make that distinction, that she is a criminal and it seemed to me that you were trying to reason that she was not.
Cobb, I believe it is relevent. Laws should not be different for either sex, it's the whole equality issue. Women want to be treated the same way as men in any legal situation, we should not have double standards just because a particular issue is sexual in nature. Or do you think it's ok to sexually discriminate with regards to wages, or for a man to refuse to hire a woman because she is ugly?

Very important & very difficult because we cant put our finger on it ourselves. but men & women are fundamentally different & the law should reflect that IMo

Laws should be different pertaining to sexual matters with regard to gender type. My opinion for this explicit inequality is due to one group having a penis and the other a vagina (and the resulting implications). Laws should treat the genders equally in all other matters.

That case is very different .. not a basketball sports star .. admire the husband for sticking by her .. still think it’s a problem for the mental health professionals not prison guards .
The woman in TN will suffer far more mental & physical abuse than she ever caused .. the problem is not being corrected its being compounded .. not justice or even mature .. just suffering on suffering only more suffering can come of it .. that las in TN will be dragged through the mud till she has no self-respect left, then what hooking @ a truck stop getting tools stuck up her till she’s dead of an overdose .. ya justice right ..this is backwater TN we are talking about not Staffordshire with a loving husband.

no you are the one who is lumping all the cases together & saying that they should rot in jail all of them no matter what the circumstances or the people involved .. how you can say I'm condoning this sort of thing is beyond me .. what I am saying is each case is different & jail will not help the situation @ all .. please spend some time reading my posts you will see that I am being very specific to the cases in question & the people involved. unlike you who is just throwing a blanket law over them & turning your back of their futures.
this is a fundamental problem with law, unless the judge is capable of seeing the case to a mature correctional conclusion people are being hurt even more by the laws in place. I have lived in Hicksville TN & have first hand knowledge of what the people & legal officials are like.
We are talking about the bible belt, where its illegal to teach evolution in biology, not England .. The bible belt is as religiously radical as Arab countries .. this women will be screwed over so badly she wont be able to lift her chin ever again unless she can get some proper help & relocation to another part of America.
I agree with a two year sentence but in a sanitarium not a jail. In jail she will be treated & made into a whore whether she likes it or not. The mentality of the people in that part of the world will need to brake her down to dust just to hide their own inability to understand or care. A choice babe like that in a TN county jail is a magnet for serious mental abuse. Abuse that will be 100 times more violent & cruel than she ever perpetrated.

Yeah man, the Bible Belt is a shitty part of the USA...every year the have the Bible Belt International Sport Karate International Tournament. One tourny is in TN, another in ND i think, a buncha states anyway. Like a 2 week event.
Anyway, I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!

Just so everyone is clear, if someone is from there, Im not saying ur like the rest, but the girls and guys I met when I was competing in that tourny...fuckin square ass bible stompers...there's believing and then being a fanatic...
Yet TN has one of the roughest Ghetto's in the US...lol far worse than south central, la (nowadays, not back in the day).
