This mod sounds very interesting (literally) also: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8429

All the characters are fully voiced, no more "arrow in the knee" rinse and repeat jokes! Very Happy

thats almost as awesome as that vid when a guy shoots an arrow into the sky and it falls down and hits a chicken or something a good minute later Laughing

This mod is a must-have actually. It's worth it just for the "super followers" who have tons of voiced dialogue, react to major events in the game and talk about each other if you have multiple followers with you. The other NPCs added by the mod are also great. I was surprised at how much more alive the world feels when from time to time you encounter characters that are actually interesting to talk to.

im still only 70ish hours into the base game. stopped playing since something else caught my attention and mods I use are being updated all the time.

By the time I actually get to DLC content, TES VI will have dlc's out already.

Heya I am about to play the games I missed and this time it is time for Skyrim. Only played it a bit when it came out until the point I found out that it has level scaling and stopped immediately.

Do I remember that correctly: My overall level increases with the level of my skills / perks. So if I only increase like speech and sneak and other non combat things my overall level increases. But my fighting power stays the same ... while the fighting power of my opponents increaeses as I gain levels. So I would practically get weaker by ganing levels choosing the wrong skills/perks.

Well I hope the person @Bethesda who thought up that idea is fired now and they patched the game, or is there any good mod out that at least removes the level scaling of the opponents from the game?

So I just fired up Skyrim since I last played it a year ago and loaded up a bunch of mods. When it comes to the textures of the game, which is better, the ENB set of mods or Skyrim HD or is there some other preference? I also added Realistic Lighting, the flora mod, and some water mod that received a lot of endorsements. Would these texture mods possibly conflict with those or it to best to settle with the free HD pack Bethesda offered? So far, all the mods that activated are working well together.

I actually uninstalled ENB and was surprised of how much better the game looked without it, none of them are particularly well balanced, there's always something i don't like about them. I must have tried 20 or so ENB configs. Funny thing is i get PM's from people that sees my mod and screens from it and they ask which ENB i'm using because they like how it looks. lol, they dont realise their ENB is making their game look like ass.

true, i use sweetfx though add some color and sharpening looks better than any ENB, although those god rays are tempting but not worth the perf cost.

I rather have some antialiasing, especially transparency super sampling than using ENB and having the nice looking godrays (but rest looking pretty much like shit)..

Does anyone know if there's some way of adding transparency super sampling (a more performance friendly version of it) other than from nvidia inspector, it really destroys performance and like always AA affects the mouse precision in a really awful way.

Downsampling perhaps. Smile
(Not quite as effective as SSAA unless you go from a really high resolution but still pretty OK though there might be some blur which SSAA gets around by using texture LOD tweaks.)

My most recent experiment was, ENB with dof&godrays, SweetFX for the sharpening/colors and SSAO forced via-drivers. It looked beautiful..too bad that I had 20-30fps. Sad

Thanks for the info and thanks for the list lolozaur. I thought I had a lot but you've got some in there I haven't seen before.

Btw, what happens when you mix general texture mods with those that specialize in lighting, water, terrain, etc? Wouldn't they conflict or would one supersede the other?

It's often stated in readmes how you should handle possible conflicts with mods which affect similar stuff.

I understand that but let's say it doesn't say anything yet how do you know if a general texture mod is erasing a specialized one? I guess you really don't do you?

http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1436111-pcps3-dlc-release-discussion-thread/

I couldn't find the exact quote but it seems they gave a bit of info regarding the Dragonborn DLC.

Unfortunately the info was that it's not being released this week.
(And there's still no solid release date, quite a reaction from the community about that statement though.)

Is there a fucking mod that will let you run while strafing?

I play FC3 and forget I can strafe run, and then I play Skyrim and forget I can't.....
