look at the other major events. 911 news reports were conflicting each other. Some crimes are sensationalized on the news/media. Same with major news events. it's all to get ratings. If you really want facts you should look for it by investigating it yourself at centre of the event. You can't do it online because everyone else is basing their facts/truths on one news report and then they debunk those truths/facts with the information they got from another news report. and so on and so forth.
I'm not spouting bull shit. did you read the shit you posted? did you follow what happened? did you see all the news reports? did you see the follow up reports? did you read the police report? did you watch all the interviews? or did you watch what everyone else watched? snippets cut together to get the viewers emotional and get more ratings?

Once guns are out of the picture, crimerate WILL go up. Since then it comes down to who has illegal guns or who's stronger in a person to person fight.
Actually, to the gun supporters' dismay, it will not go up. We have very strict gun control in Romania, and the violent crime rate is really low compared to the US, and also one of the lowest in Europe.
Thing is, 99.99% homicides and armed robberies here don't involve firearms, since there aren't any. Only high ranking military, police officers, judges and some politicians are allowed to own lethal firearms. We have to get a permit from the police to even own swords, competition bows, compressed-air pistols.
In 2010, 68% of all homicides in the US were done with a firearm. It's quick, accurate, you don't have to get close, it's clean, it's hard to trace.
Around here, usually you have to go medieval if you want to kill someone - that is enough to discourage most of the wannabe criminals : it's messy, you might get overpowered, it takes a long time, it can get noisy and attract attention, you have to get close and personal, it's easy to trace (struggle marks, blood, hair, etc.). Most of the murderers, with a few exceptions, are caught within a week.
The guns are really out of control in US; there are people hoarding arsenals of 20+ military-grade semiauto assault rifles, snipers rifles, handguns, shotguns - there are plenty of gun boards where you can see what i'm talking about. No need for self defense can justify that. Go the Barrett site, all their offer is available to civilians, including the sound supressors.Same goes to Remington, Magpul, LaRue, Colt, etc.

^^ not to mention criminals committing crimes kill people pretty easy since who knows who is carrying and there is no point in risking it. in countries where every other person doesn't carry a gun, you can probably assume you can just rob someone and get away with it. same as anyone who will end up with a lengthy prison sentence whether or not they kill someone ... why would you leave any witnesses?

You also have to take into consideration that every site that runs these conspiracy theories go wild whenever great events such as these occur. columbine shooting was a psy op. the tdkr shooting was a psy op. etc. etc. etc. these people believe that there has to be something impossibly wrong with a human being to go on a shooting spree, and since they can't accept the studies (that some people are mentally unstable because these studies are funded by the government therefore they're bogus) all these events are created by the government to spread fear and ban guns!

No. what i'm saying is that these sites are basing their facts on nothing. there really isn't a foundational base of facts to measure anything. you know how in math you have a value for y and you have to solve the rest of the equation? now imagine if in the same equation the value of y kept changing because every someone keeps telling you that the value of y is wrong they every other person keeps you a different value.
that is what is happening here. we don't know what y is. we only have the equation. and all these sites are basing all of their blogs on finding out what y is by collecting information which all have a different value for y. (no base for anything)
i'm down for anyone and everyone to write a new equation but only when y is always the same. but that won't happen here. case is closed. y is either 3, 6, or 9. and because of that you have these theory nuts going crazy. all of these videos, all of these blogs, all of these conversations.
by all means question the media. all you want. that's good. but if you do it too much you're going to go crazy. not all media is bad. not all media is government bought. not all media is evil. it's just sometimes media doesn't have all the information, but they still need the views and still need advert money so they often come up with information, or rush quickly to conclusions so that they're ahead of their competition. and when that happens the value of y keeps changing.
