What are you smoking Jaldo? One time you bash people for liking Tarantino, and the other you bash people for comparing crappy movies to his crappy style Confused

lol well the thing is... nobody compared the movie to tarantino until someone did and then in a review someone says that it copies tarantino style.

so deduction and all that investigative slut stuff states that someone watch the movie hoping for tarantino quality w/o really knowing that the director has his own style shite and it's not really comparable in style.

just cause you're dialogue heavy doesn't mean you're a tarantino wannabe.

Les Misérables (2012) - I don't fancy musicals, but decided to give this one a go since it's a famous story I really like and an Oscar contender. The singing had major ups and downs. Was ranging from decent to obnoxious. Plus, the atmosphere was really dull, uninspired and long-winded - especially during the revolution. Felt like kids playing with guns. Laughing The events were presented in a way having no weight nor a sense of major significance. Quite disappointed in this one. Only Hathaway's nomination deserves fulfillment from the main categories. 5/10

Argo (2012) - Affleck should focus more time on being a director instead of an actor. A well-packed movie with no useless drags along its run time. Don't know why Arkin was nominated, though, since he had probably 15 minutes of screen time in total while showing nothing remarkable or worthy of his performance. 8/10

Another movie about, well, possession. A + for the demon speaking Polish. Though no "Kurwas" were uttered. Okay

Les Miserables - 6/10

The production design is top-notch and the film features a number of spectacular performances, including Anne Hathaway who is guaranteed the supporting actress Oscar. That said, the film has several problems.

Russell Crowe; as hard as he tries, he simply can't sing and when surrounded by people like Hathaway and Jackman (who have a strong theatre background and can definitely sing), his scenes are just cringe-worthy.

Tom Hooper's insistence on using wide angle lenses for close-ups gives the film a bizarre fish-eye aesthetic that is really distracting.

Also, why does everyone have a cockney accent in France?

Django Unchained - 7,5/10

Although very fun to watch, I wouldn't put it amongst my favourite Tarantino movies. The culprit is mainly the last third and its structure, lacking polish and going a bit too overboard with the signature over-the-topness, thus ruining the perfect set-up and inspired characters. Props to the many spaghetti westerns references, including the good ol' Trinità.

Finally a good movie from Tarantino. I was disappointed with the previous two. Samuel L. Jackson was priceless in this one.

This movie is almost excellent

The story of ricky
I couldn't decide which score I should give. It was really funny and entertaining. Although it was such a teribble and unreal movie. I am a little confused.

Les Miserables 3/10 I see musicals are NOT for me. Singing everything is absolutely exhausting to watch/listen. Managed half the movie until it transformed into a love story.

Grabbers. Fun idea and good effects for such a little flick.

6 out of 10 on the Jim_West scale.
