and yes i totaly see the irony here BUT
lately ive grown oh so very tired of people overall, and its not the "oh i wanna be alone" kinda tired its more like the "oh i wanna bust some skulls" kinda tired, i just cant stand people and their unimportant shit, worrying over all the wrong things in this cesspool of a world
think its because we are kinda connected 24/7 and always reachable nowdays ? i have a creeping feeling its exactly the reason. i shiver when i see that games have "new ways to socialize". it used to be fun . now its a pain in the ass

You're only as connected and social as you want to be.
I don't own a cell-phone. Waste of fucking money and endless hassle with people bothering you. My three means of contact are a land-line phone (which is set to voice-mail the entire time. if I don't recognize the person calling or it's a telemarketer I reach over, hit a button, and they're disconnected), email (heavily filtered and mostly ignored), and chat via x-fire, Steam, or Skype (set to invisible unless I want to talk). I check my Facebook page about once a year.
No sense in bitching about it since it's technically of your own doing. 
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

yeah i get what you are saying, and i didnt have a phone for 3 years or so and loved every moment of it, but now i just gotta be availible cause of my work or id toss that phone out the window
thing is i get called in for diffrent meetings and shit about things i couldnt care less about, im really trying hard to avoid people but it turns out its harder than it seems

I think we have two options here: you either -unfortunately- deal with it  , or you can finally fake your own death and start over a new life, becoming someone else.
It's not easy to completely erase your identity in this day and age without the help of professional people (unless the government does it for you  ), but one can try.

get a beeper.
or get two phones. one for work and one for your personal life. keep personal life on silent. keep work just for work. stay off social sites. occasionally answer personal life phone.
you can't really cut your self out. people are getting more and more open. the idea of sharing your problems is cool now. go on facebook oh my daddy molestered me, and you get hundreds of friends sympathizing with you. and people now want that kind of attention outside of the internets.
enjoy you can't stop it. you can't ignore it. wherever you're gonna go it's going to follow you.
