Everything I've read suggests regular crit chance is global.

Thnx.

That's just crazy! Didn't think I would see an even more insane build than that witch with the sword so soon.

I didn't want to cause any troubles with my post xD, I just said that I'd prefer more physicality and better feedback but that's just a very personal preference from a noob. Razz I appreciate the fact that they're keeping it realistic though, it makes it unique.

why spend money on it now if you're uncertain? it's f2p and open beta starts in like 10 days.
find out if you like it then.

there were 2-3 servers, and i could play with a character on any of them ? or i need to make a new char / server ?

and there is any posibilities to make a ... porcupine build ? something like in d2 with paladin thorn aura and max amount of health. or with reflect damage gear (if exists.). searched on poe forum, and nothing.

There is normal and hardcore "servers" (and legacy but that one will be probably shut down on open beta). You can not switch your characters between this two modes except when you die in hardcore you are instantly ressurected on normal.

There are plenty porcupine builds. DarkRohirrim just quoted one at the beginning of this page (YT video).

You can connect to the game form any gate because PoE has one, global server, so even if you chose US gate you can play with people who chose EU gate - it's just that when you join to the instance created by them you will be then technically playing on EU server and vice versa.

This is sad when put into perspective. I wished Bliz didn't fucked up D3. When an indie company can make something like this and Blizz with all their money and manpower couldn't, its not even about hating anymore.

At the same time this is a good sign for more indie developers, with kickstarter such a nice tool for crowdfunding. So the alternative game scene is becoming bigger, with titles that look like a AAA game but developed by passionate people who refuse to dumb down their games and make them easily accessable for as many people as possible.
So im very glad over this recent development, especially for the PC.

1. You can't buy creativity with money.
2. I'm quite confident Blizz could have made proper D3 game if they WANTED. I just think there was never WILL to do proper Diablo game, because right from the start they wanted to tap somehow into the MMO market with it and that's why this game is such a derpfest. Unless the whole mentality behind this projecy won't change D3 will stay a shallow game.

Nope, that's their policy, no pay2win. Smile They're making money by selling vanity items and stuff like stash slots, character slots. They also accept donations, even though they didn't want that themselves. The fans asked for that. They didn't do a Kickstarter, but as far as I know they got more than $1 million funds from crowd-pledging. They made themselves a really strong community because they respect their fans a lot and the fans respect them too because of that. Playing the game alone won't make you understand how awesome GGG are, you really have to read their posts and stuff like that to see it. Over the past year they've become one of my favorite developers of all time and not necessarily because they made this game, but because of their policy concerning consumers, game development and... well everything really. And that's how they'll make money, the good old way, by making a great game and respecting the fanbase. Smile

Finally, you understand why, I at least, think "Diablo" 3 is such a bad game and it can never become an even decent one. You're on the good path, sir! Smile

Of course they can't fix this mess. The game is already out. I'm talking about when they first started development. They have talented people working for them, but they got themselves a useless creative director, and someone somewhere decided it would be an even better idea to do the RMAH and always online bullshit.

path of exile is always online..

i dont think i am wrong.. but if it had offline play it would mean you have the chars saved localy and it would be so tempting to hack and cheats i guess..

*looks at almost 9 years of server failures in WoW, server failures in D3, Battle.net failures, terrible netcode in both games*

Hmm, nope, the talented people left

Path of Exile is F2P, they have to be always online to do micro transaction. So no one would complain about that. D3 is not f2p, being online gives no benefit to the gamers, so it was flat out a retarded decision. D3 is always online not because they want to be "MMO" like, but only because they want to include RMAH.

In preparation for open beta I finally downloaded the client and found out SweetFX does not work with this game. I haven't found any solutions for NVIDIA owners online (AMD owners can use Radeon Pro to force SweetFX). So it seems I'm out of luck, I was hoping to change the feel of the game to my likings Sad
