SmartE, the protection that's used by Microsoft on its games causes this to happen. It works similar to the way FADE does but it isn't as annoying/buggy on legit cds. | Interesting stuff - I even used the Carbon clone CD1 for it but I guess these clones aren't up to much ;-P

So you didn't experience any crazy crashes, Bugulous? Interesting. I might try the mini-ISO. I hate having to put my original disc in there when I'm trying to listen to music.

Guess I'll have to try it out.
I tried using my burned cd (not a carbon clone), and it played fine for about 15 minutes and then it gave me a hard crash. Twice. That annoyed the hell out of me.
After NWN shattered in my drive some years ago I really have very little inclination to use original CDs when I don't need to.

It's not a "useless" crack. Some of us actually own the game and wish to play it on the internet without having to insert the CD every time.

man i'm still in act 1... i'm in a cave area with a smith guy who lost his hammer and what not ( animal crashed through the wall) is it suppose to be THIS hard, at the begining he did say i might need to level up a bit more, but the bosses and even the white normal animals are just fucking SUPER hard to kill and my attacks deal 205 damage... goddamn.

Suprisingly, I like the game. It combines the best of Diablo and Sacred. Hack n' slash, but still lot of fun.

yeah that smith quest was pretty tough if you try it when you first get the quest. i was able to do it when I got the quest, but it took awhile to take the hp off those bosses. after midway through the first act, the game becomes a breeze

Haha, i did the Morden Riders quest for the first time now, missed it as mercenary. That is some class stuff, laughed my ass off. Best thing was when you give your last goodbye at the first discussion. The riders have been saying "Quite Bruno" each time the klask named Bruno has grunted and then he grunts the last time and YOU say: "Quite Bruno. I shall see what i can do."
Hilarious.
Very much Monty Python but still greatly enjoyable. Best time i've had as veteran without question.

Wait with doing this until you get to Aman'lu, then teleport back. I did it directly but you arent able to cash out your reward till you get to Aman'lu and the drops you get are too high for the level you're at anyways. So just sit tight and wait till you get to Aman'lu.

Coming up on Valdis in Veteran mode now. I need some feedback for who/what to bring as my final groupmember in Elite.
The already set members are: Me (Dual Wield-tank), Lothar (Shield-tank), Arwen (Bow/Crossbow-Ranger), Finala (Fire-spec combat mage), Taar (Healing/Freezing-nature mage).
Now my suggestions for the final groupmember are these:
1. Sartan or Eva as a twohanded weapons-tank.
2. Vix as a thrown weapons-ranger.
3. Deru as a secondary nature mage or another combat mage.
4. Some pet
So the feedback i need is this:
1. Sartan or Eva? Who has the most interesting/rewarding specific quests? How is the damage and the powers of two handed tanks? What sets exist? I know of only the Frostheim set as of yet. The actual utility of the twohanded warrior is quite a secondary priority seeing as i dont really need more damage anyways, so the biggest reason is to "unlock" the twohanded weapons i now just sell off.
2. Same thing here, damage/powers? Again i know only of one set, The Winds of Kel'Drasil. Also same thing goes for utility needs.
3. No questions here really except maybe if there are any other nature mages except for Deru. I dont think i've even seen another combat mage for that matter, are there any?
4. Most feedback needed here really, never tried a pet, how are they, which would compliment my setup best? If i understand correctly you dont equip them but you feed them items to level them, is this worth it? It's not like i need the cash but anyways.
All feedback appreciated

Act 1 : Side Quest : Lelani's Sorrow
1: Take the doll to Fenella in Eirulan in the Falls District and recieve Elven Ale.
2: Take the Elven Ale to the soldier near the portal in the Azunite desert and recieve Skath Ribs.
3: Take the Skath Ribs to the soldier in the Eirulan Inn. He is upstairs in the middle room behind curtains. You will recieve the Statuette of Xeria.
4: Take the Statuette of Xeria to Soldier Keirnan in Snowbrook Haven and recieve the Morden Head on Pike.
5: Take the Head to Alar'rithil outside of Aman'lu. he is located Across the bridge just outside of town in a house. You will recieve Elven Water.
6: Take the Elven Water to Prospector Gareth in an abandoned tower in the Plain of Tears and recieve the Agallan Relic.
7: Take the Agallan Relic to Nalus the Half Giant located on the Kalrathia town wall (in town) and recieve Feathers.
8: take the Feathers to Ithir'renne the Fletcher in one of the houses in Aman'lu and recieve the Aman'lu Orchid.
9: Take the orchid back to Lelani in Eirulan to finish the quest.
**note** This quest takes place through all three Acts of the game. You won't finish this quest till 3/4'ths (give of take) of the way through the game, so don't worry about it too much early on.

Anybody know if the v2.1 update fixes the "old man not clearing the log" bug?
Also, it seems like the v2.1 update doesn't recognize your pre-2.1 save game. I don't see the "continue" option on the main screen anymore.
Is there a fix for this? I checked in the save folder and the old save files are still there. Has the game changed save directory with the v2.1?
I really don't want to start over again. Thanks.
Any idea if the allEnL@aSxDoX +5 v1.00 trainer work with the new v2.1 patched game?
