In preparation for open beta I finally downloaded the client and found out SweetFX does not work with this game. I haven't found any solutions for NVIDIA owners online (AMD owners can use Radeon Pro to force SweetFX). So it seems I'm out of luck, I was hoping to change the feel of the game to my likings
Ironically I switched back to NVIDIA just last week after 4 years having AMD. I'm happy with my decision, and of course there will be drawbacks, as well as advatnages Fortunately there just aren't many games that aren't compatible with SweetFX, so far I only found two - Rage because it's OpenGL, and Path of Exile. I just don't know why it's not working with PoE, perhaps because it uses launcher, but then again I used SweetFX in some other games that use launcher too, like Guild Wars 2.
Does anyone know if multiple projectiles increases your chance of criting with atleast one of the projectiles? Or is the crit chance based on all attacks? Meaning eaither all projectiles crit or none?

All projectiles take stats from your character stats (like the crit chance) but once they are fired each projectile have the same stats and crit chances (based on the stats of your char) but they act individually so you can crit on all of them (if you are mega lucky) or just some of them will crit , one of them or none of them

I don't have the game installed at the moment, but sometimes it happens that you need to copy the sweetfx files into other exe-related folders too (like in FC3, where in order to make the injector work the files had to be inside the bin and data_win32 folders as well). Just a wild guess, but it's worth a try.

Wow that's terrible news. Glad I didn't give them any of my money!
Yeah the newsletter (Which I got today, despite not signing up for any of those.) says it such as there will be a reset for everyone back to level 1 to balance the beta.
(Thus it doesn't sound like the characters are deleted or anything, just that they are reset, maybe existing ones go into the legacy league too but I didn't check.)
I've got all my characters with the names I want secure, so you can be sure as hell I'm happy they won't do a full wipe. Then again, I would probably be fast enough in creating them again.
Traffic to the site has been absolutely insane over the last few days. We've been aggressively ordering more servers, but it's quite possible that we'll have long queues and general server unstability on launch day. We may be operating under player load levels far above what we've tested to. Needless to say, there are a team of dedicated people here who will try to make sure you have the best possible experience.

Really looking forward to act 3 and Im glad that chaos inoculation will keep its chaos damage immunity while loosing out on 50% more energy shield. Also good that they dropped one difficulty level.

This is the kind of stuff they'll sell, if people are still not convinced they're not going the pay2win route. They'll also sell different visual effects for weapons and armor.

Afaik, there are no restrictions. The only thing you might run into is bagspace problems if you are not paying. There are 4 shared tabs and they fill pretty fast if you want to "craft", collect items for other chars etc. One additional tab costs 30 gold which is around 3$. I'll bought a bronze supporter pack last year for 15$ so I still have the option to buy 5 tabs or char slots (24 is max IIRC without paying).

The fact that the number of char slots is 24 without paying anything is already staggering. If this was EA, it'd have been 6 at most, but probably not even that, so you'd have to pay to play other classes (without deleting).

Just started playing the closed beta (30 mins ago), feels pretty nice and solid. Will wait for the open beta before I continue anything
