					| whats a good client for newsgroups. ive been using newsbin pro which is quite good but i seem to get a lot of corrupt downloads with it if i dl more then one file at once , and if i only dl one file i get crappy speeds. i like newsleecher but dont like having to get a new key for every new version , and only getting the working product for a year. is there any good free ones avaidable that can handle .nzb files and do binaries the same as newsbin and newsleecher do??

					| I have an old beta of newsleecher (cracked) that still works fine (doesn't have the super search) ... been using it for a long time.
I've heard grabit is pretty easy to use ....

Corrupt downloads and broken files isnt due to the program, rather, ur news service provider or the person who posted the file u want.

If u get alot of broken files or corrupt, adjust ur settings to recieve more header files and or get a new service - not the one ur isp offers...giganews or something like that

					| Well I assume that newsleecher works fine for him he just cba with the constant updating of it. It must be some settings in ur newsbin which are wrong, try using a different build, I know 1 of the versions didnt work too good for me for some reason. i'm currently using 4.2, i think it was 3.8 (the 1 where it had the 'slightly' better graphics interface) which didnt work | |

im using 4.32 of newsbin the latest one... it used to happen with the newsgroups i got with my old isp ( plusnet) now im using newshosting and it does exactly the same. if i only download 1 rar at a time its fine but if im downloading 2 , 3 , or 4 85% end up corrupt... newsleecher has always been fine but it only dl 1 rar at a time ...so has any other client i used even on my isp newsgroup, i tried downloading the same stuff from newsgroup with diffrent clients and newsbin always was corrupt if i dl more then 1 rar.. . just tried grabit and it downloaded 700mb 2 rar's at a time with no corruption... and it was free. ill stick with that for now i think. thanks everyone

					| Newsbin 4.32 rocks. I love the fact that i dont have do "Download special" for imcompletes like previous Newsbins.
Any completion issues are usually poster issues; like they tried posting something through there crappy ISP server. If its complete on Giganews or any other premium service; its your server. As SycoShaman said.

If ya dont like NBPRO.. try Agent, Very good news reader.

pretty much. grabIT has its own version grabIT search i think , but you have to subscribe to there newshosting service for the search to work. think its $39.99 a month for 100gb and unlimited grabIT searches , 30 days retention 10 concurrent connections. http://www.shemes.com/index.php?p=usenetservice#subscriptions

You can susbscribe to just the GrabIt Search..
I currently subscibe to the GrabIt search an pay $1.99 per month for the service. I dont use there news service for the following reason.
This search often returns incomplete files on the schemes server, these files are complete on my ISP's server.

 Anyway I use GrabIt.

 I think he means www.binsearch.info

neway use FTD... its dutch but gets the job done
I mostly d/l my stuff from a.b.m.divx and download whatever I see that takes my fancy. I'm guessin some of you on a download cap dont have this freedom so I would recommend you use FTD it's a community so its not amazing all the time but I find it very usefull. And although its dutch you dont need to be able read it to use it. I can barely read dutch but I use it | |

Newsbin works fine and I dont miss any headers...I still say its ur news provider rather than the news program. In most cases anyway...my news provider has like 3 month retention (i think its 3 month, maybe 2), so I miss nothing

 you're missing his point.
When he downloads files individually it works but when he downloads multiple files they become corrupt. Also when using newsleecher it works fine. this rules out a newsserver problem.

by multiple downloads do you mean having more than 1 file downloading at once? you can easily change the download limit by clickin the buttons on the left of newsbin.
