i was really excited about this thinking it was a modern gangsters, played it at gamescom and didnt really understood what was going on lol. still looks pretty damn interesting though. Is this going to have a freeform/sandbox mode or is it just scenarios/missions?
From the updated hands-on video posted by Immunity it looks better than what I expected. The "Gangsters" games were so much fun, it looks Omerta won't be any different.

Bit worried about the weapon upgrade system unbalancing matches. You pay cash, you get straight up more powerful weapons (green, blue, purple color coded at up to +20%) with no sort of tradeoff.

Unless they changed the date, it's Feb 12 for the *PC*. It's on Steam for the Macs on Jan 31. Maybe they changed it but those are the dates from the official trailer.
edit: and yes, I know it says Jan 31 on the Steam page. Not like they've ever had that wrong before The official website says Feb 12, 2013 right at the top of the page.
