forza4 has proper hdr, with darkening and brightening. watch more videos
Werelds wrote: | Now, please though Intel_Nvidia, for once in your life do something useful and show me a video of that amazing damage model of yours; record it yourself perhaps? |
like i said already, forza4 doesn't have the best damage model VISUALLY, but performance and handling feedback from taking damage is top notch. you can feel every little bump and crash and how your car becomes increasingly worse, tire wear, tire temperature, all that is there and it makes a difference in every car.
Werelds wrote: | I'm not saying Forza 4 sucks. I never have, never will unless I play it myself. All I'm saying is that based on videos of actual gameplay, Intel_NVIDIA's statement of "Shift has nothing on Forza" is horseshit. And considering he's given absolutely no solid arguments to support his statement or to prove my assumptions wrong, nothing has changed. I suppose I can keep asking him for anything to back up his statements, but it seems a brick wall would be better at doing that. I'm also sure Shift 2 sucks ass on consoles with its 30 FPS limit, I've never bothered with it on my PS3. |
open your eyes. YOU are the one in brick wall mode, YOU are the one bashing a game you have never played solely on generalities you found on the web spewed by random GT5 tards.
why is Forza4 better than Shift2? it has more cars, more tracks, more content, better sound, better handling, better career mode, better presentation, pretty much better everything. forza4 does many things better than shift, including not having EA's yo yo bro derpyness all over it, shift does one or two things better than forza, so in the end forza wins.

I'm not bloody bashing it. WIth every post I've been saying that that's what it seems like to me and the only thing I want from you is to actually show me proof of my assumptions being wrong, rather than you voicing what still is your personal opinion.
Whatever though, you're really not worth the time and effort, since you just don't seem to be able to get past that. I'll just wait for you to post a video that shows off Forza's 4 HDR rather than just the bloom. Or where a head on crash will actually fuck a car up entirely - not even visually, since we've established that the game sucks balls on that front, but performance and handling wise. Until then, you're the one trolling. I've said time after time that that's what it looks like to me and your opinion is not an argument to sway me in the other direction.

I just hope current Peripherals will be compatable,Spent a lot on arcade sticks & wheels this gen so I would like them to be compatable for the next bunch of consoles, this will be a selling point for me on which i go for next

They just updated the GPU info because that was not all of it:
Quote: |
UPDATE: some people is confused about the GPU, here you have more info about it:
Each CU contains dedicated:
- ALU (32 64-bit operations per cycle)
- Texture Unit
- L1 data cache
- Local data share (LDS)
About 14 + 4 balance:
- 4 additional CUs (410 Gflops) “extra” ALU as resource for compute
- Minor boost if used for rendering
Dual Shader Engines:
- 1.6 billion triangles/s, 1.6 billion vertices/s
18 Texture units
- 56 billion bilinear texture reads/s
- Can utilize full memory bandwith
8 Render backends:
- 32 color ops/cycle
- 128 depth ops/cycle
- Can utilize full memory bandwith

I don't see any reason specs like this would not be true.
It's 2013 for christ sake

The specs will be liek this or something around that. All those "leaks" are just plain stupid and building false hype. The specs have to be like that.

Sounds promising, but a CPU made by AMD... Not so good news.
EDIT: and so basically.... PS4 and Xbox720 will be the same? This would be good and bad news, nothing different on the consoles apart from some exclusives? Good news for PC owners, better ports (easier to make, since pure PC hardware).

I really want to know what kind of os they'll put on the 720. Will it be a Dashboard kind of experience again or will we get Windows RT? Windows RT would be awesome. It would certainly jumpstart the Win8 app development and with VLC on the horizon and maybe someday an Usenet app, it would finally make a console thats really worth using for something else than gaming...

I see no problem in AMD proccessors,Ive built my last 3 PC's using AMD & always get as much power & performance Than if i chose the latest & best Intel processors at the time only using AMD i saved lots more £££,it would be same issue if the next consoles if one chose the AMD route & the Other chose the intel route you could guarantee the intel made console would be more expensive if both had similar performance

I see it as a problem, since it´s some low power APU chip, the processor is not gonna be that powerfull. Considering also that its based on piledriver, which isnt actually that beast even on desktop PC. But anyway, next consoles still will be pretty nice, and finally maybe quality games will come to PC. As for the GPU, i have readed that it will be basically 7970M, if true it will be very powerfull for console (Scores over 6K from 3Dmark11).

if you think PC didn't have quality games up until this point you need to give up gaming.

He's prolly looking at the PS360 era.
In that time period, we had only a small amount of actual proper quality games, compared to the amount that got released in total.
So yes, he's kinda right on that part.

So consoles instead of having top stationary PC like hardware will now have top laptop like hardware. Meh.

Prolly due to them wanting to make it more compacter then it already is.
So putting normal PC parts in there would mean that they have to increase the case size for airflow and such.
(in other words, laptop hardware has lower cooling requirements then other pc hardware in such compact spaces)

7970m chip is very powerfull, comparable to 6970 Desktop, sometimes faster. And this on console, it will do miracles.

Now all we need is good games that don't just make use of the pretty gfx.
Hoping for some interesting titles to be announced at this E3 or in the near future (c'mon Capcom, give us an Onimusha game).

and this trend will continue. if you think next gen all the biggest console exclusives will end up on PC you are very mistaken.

Well you are implying that "the biggest console exclusives" will be quality products, but most rarely are and most of those arn't wanted on the PC platform anyway.

i just don't see the connection how does that effect quality of PC games.
next console gen there will be good console ports and there will be bad console ports, just like always.
remember xbox1? everyone said "oh xbox1 is pretty much PC hardware in a console box". ironically many xbox1 ports sucked, and we still don't have a single decent emulator for it.
