Depends on the architecture and hardware.
He meant that we won't be limited in graphics due to consoles when they come out (but eventually we will again)

Man... I am sure new consoles wont be as simply exciting as 360 when it came out...
Now it will be like ... What? More fucking 3d, 8d and online drm + no rental?
That wont be an independant gaming machine like consoles uded to be

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony would like to be first this gen.
They had major problems becaues of being released year after 360

xbox or ps, who cares, whichever gets cracked first will get my money.
I wouldn't mind if PS4 get cracked first and be backwards compatibile with all of the ps3 games, play all those jrpgs

No matter whether sony comes first or last if they do provide cheap game developers tools its going to be ps3 again 360 gained a lot of popularity due to cheap development tools and talent availability at low cost which wasnt the case for ps3

I bet all my money on PS4 will not be PS3 compitable. |
backward compatable games i wont be to worried about as will have my PS3 still until these games are all played & although i know there on about a new controller for the PS4 but I hope to god all my PS3 usb peripherals are still compatable,I will not go through the cost of buying another wheel/Arcade stick etc |

i'll get whichever is proven to be more technically powerful, best features etc whether thats the ps4 or new xbox.
based on what several developers who have seen devkits of both, they are saying ps4 is slightly more powerful - nothing major. you're right, we won't know for sure yet but as i said, ATM ps4 is looking better.

i'll probably get both in the long run, but if i were to get only one, it would be the one with best games, not one that is "slightly" faster. hardware without games is nothing, ok that's not true any more, now they have failbook, youtube and other social garbage on consoles.

That's not necessarily meaningful at all, for example, they could have protection where the game disc's executable is encrypted and will only run off the HDD which could also be encrypted and the only way to get the executable to the HDD is to enter in your serial number and register online through ps4/xboxlive and then u can play offline etc. Which means hacking the blu ray is useless and you need to delve deeper and hack the other means of protection. My guess is their protection will be good but crackable obviously, the main thing is if they have registration codes for each game that tie to ur account then they will curb 99.999999999% of illegal online players and only single player will work and potentially cracked server players (doubtful).
