Will continue on if you reckon it gets better. I want to play it as I enjoyed the others, the over the top bullshit and the lack of atmosphere of the first one has put me off.

both disc are singleplayer, you need to switch it near the end of the 9th chapter

What I liked:
Its dead space 2 with some new elements
Its longer than the two other games
The boss fights where pretty awesome (visually too)

What I didn't like:
These robots collecting resources; I found them to be annoying having to deploy them constantly. If they where automatically deployed, it would be fine. So if you forget it, you loose potential resources. (New game+ is a must to construct 3/4 of the weapons...)
No split screen coop.
First half of the game could be better
And some of the ice climbing parts.

I'm in Chapter 5 how long is the game in hours ? And WTF is travelling the planets about ? I travelled to some of them not sure where to go when plane lands

It depends... I didn't do all the side missions. So I completed it in about 10 hours. Don't remember what my save said... iv started New game + now.

lol NFOAC, how are you able to get stuck in this game? When you board the ship you see on the computer screen where you are supposed to go (there are normally 4 planets/rocks and a marker on the one the mission is on. And for every other situation you are stuck there is "RT" Wink

No i meant there are 3 different planets and one has story mission but where do i go when on another planets and is it worth it ?

FYI - In those extra planets the RS does not points you anywhere

You mean those derelict ships?
Iirc,one is for co-op sidemission,one is for SP side mission and 2 are for main missions.

You get more resources and blueprints from those side missions...they are good addition if you like to craft a lot. Smile

im on chapter 10 just beat the big spider thing outside in the snow storm, i go inside and a screen saying please wait comes out of no where, im thinking its trying to change to disc 2? but its been stuck at please wait for 5 miniutes now, and im thinking its stuck, what gives?

edit: nevermind, went back to freestyle dash, loaded disc 2 and when i got to the please wait sign, the game instantly loaded. thank god i didnt lose any progress

Im really struggling with this game. Played the first one twice, and enjoyed the second. But this is a fucking chore. I regret doing the side missions now, but I feel I need to complete it. Sad

after finishing dead space 1 ie. one of the top gaming experiences of current gen, i naively said "please ea, dont fuck this up, dont destroy this new IP..."
