Well graphics beat Elder Scrolls 4. Look at those screens.
New infos, fresh from the games convention in germany:
-No loading times throughout the whole world, as well as inside houses (all houses in every city will be enterable... and the game features twenty cities ) - a very advanced lod system will save resources (sprites in distance, texture scaling lod etc)
-Speedtree technology
-Advanced interface (well state of the art now when compared to gothic 1 and 2 )
- twenty cities, a mass of dungeons
- The world is about 4 times as big as Gothic 2. Gothic 2 world was 2 and half times as big as Gothic 1 world. That makes the world 10 times bigger than the gothic 1 world. As said above, a lot of cities and a lot of forest etc.
- Advanced npc AI (Gothic 2 s npc Ai was already impressive)
it goes on and on.
devs say they're still on track for a q1 release in 2006.
Some screens (more in the link above)

Any graphics engine looks great when the view is set far away like that.. I've noticed that most screens from the upcoming RPG Witcher are also like this, its a rather cheap trick to make graphics look much better, even if it is a bit low-poly...
Dont get me wrong though, im sure Gothic3 will rock, i really loved Gothic1-2 and im sure the graphics will be better than G2 at least..
