hi i just bought the asus N6600 256 mb
do u think i need to overclock it?
and if i overclock it. it well be like the N6600GT?

I would guess that the 6600 has a lower clock than the GT and possibly less pipelines, check out the 2 other overclock threads for tools and links, they're all the same Smile!! Let me know if you need any advice, having done it with my 6800GT I know what to do Smile!

just instaled rivatuner & i get this massage. its safe to overclock?



my driver is 77.77

i have 3 options near the "enable driver-level hardware overclocking"
1.standart 2D
2.low power 3D
3.performance 3D

its now on standart 2D should i change it?

Those are 3 different OC'ing options based on whats going on..

Standard 2D - This is normal PC use, I wouldnt bother changing the clock speeds here.
Low Power 3D - This is for the less complex 3D, usually game menu systems etc.. You could overclock this, but its not needed.
Performance 3D - This is what you want to OC! You should slowly increase this value (5Mhz) and test it during a game.

i could overclock the mem clock only from 500 to 550 is this normal???
because i remember when i had my R9600SE i overclocked much more

What do you mean by "only able too" ? Is that before it got unstable? or all you could do?

This means the driver doesnt reccomend clocking past that level, I would suggest you listen, but thats just my opinion Smile!
