Aliens run toward exploding barrels rather than you, but then, they’re somehow invincible to the explosion if they’re not already stood in it when you fire. Fire first and even though there’s a good two second delay, the bang won’t hurt them at all. They know the safest place is by that exploding barrel, the cunning beasts.

Your teammates teleport in front of you a lot. And it’s not just if they’re caught up behind – they can be stood next to you, you open a door, run through, and they’re already waiting the other side. In a game that’s so desperately trying to scare me, it’s sad that their sudden appearance is the only thing that ever made me jump.

They could have just said "We'll wait but hurry up"... Not we'll wait but don't make us wait. If you're making someone wait it means you're late. If i say i'll meet you in 5 mins and i come in ten, i've made you wait 5 mins. If i say wait for me downstairs, it implies that you'll be waiting. You can't say ok i'll wait just don't make me wait.

EDIT: I just read what i've written and i have no idea if it makes any sense whatsoever. Now i know how Ron feels...

I just think it wasn't supposed to be taken so seriously. It's badly phrased, but I guess the point was "I'll wait, but I'd rather you wouldn't make me". You can arrange to meet at some time, and if the other one is late you'll wait, but you won't like it... it looks fine that way to me, but I really have no clue what the context was in this case Smile

"Use the .reg where you change your playername with and change "AccountID"=dword:0028c485" to a different value.
No greenluma/steam or mp fix v2 needed.

Make sure everyone you play with uses a different accountid"

Try that.

Edit: directed at m3th0d2008 , who asked about MP working with the yarr version. Razz

Edit 2: forgot to attach the link - http://www27.zippyshare.com/v/97880057/file.html

Basically use that to edit your playername and accountID to something unique, then you should be able to play with FLT crack without having to use greenluma.

Back then, with games like NOLF 1/2, AVP2, FEAR etc. we all wondered: "this is impressive, and just imagine how amazing the AI will be in ~10 years from now".

And here we are. Back to the Dark Ages Laughing

I can confirm MP works if you download the file I attached to my earlier post and follow instructions. No special fix or GreenLuma needed.

I gave Versus a shot and it sucks. Winning as Marines is too easy, the maps simply aren't designed with Xenos in mind, the map included in AVP 2010's demo is much better.

AVP 2010 also had better weapon models that felt like actual firearms compared to the toy guns in ACM.

Played the SP for about 30 minutes, first and last impressions - Reaction

Not even gonna bother playing co-op with friends, I'm going to delete the installation as well as any trace of it ever being installed on my PC.

Edit: By the way, Humpers' favorite YouTuber, the guy from The Witcher 2 playthrough posted his thoughts on the game:

Phil ‏@TheyCallMeDSP
So after 2 hours of Aliens CM: graphics are quite good on PC, the aliens are very detailed. Gameplay....is pretty meh so far

Seriously? Laughing

He's right about gameplay being "meh", but graphics are "quite good"? Aliens very detailed? I played on max settings, and it looked like an outdated piece of shit, because it is an outdated piece of shit. Are You Serious
