No, I just hope that this generation of consoles redeems itself by going back to their roots, because let's be honest, the shit produced on the PS360 has been crap for the most part. Not even all the exclusives have been worth their money and thanks to the above, the same shit has happened to the PC. Fortunately 2011 and 2012 have had a bunch of really good games - almost all of which, however, were primarily developed for the PC and utilised that platform properly.
I just want brilliant games such as the Soul Reaver games, old MGS games (not that impressed with MGS4), Final Fantasy of back in the day, platformers such as Pandemonium and so on to come back. Fuck off with the shooters, that's what PCs are for, give me the games that made the PSX and Nintendo/Sega consoles so great.
In 7 years of Xbox 360 and 6 years of Playstation 3 I can barely come up with 10 titles that are worth the ridiculous price tags they carry nowadays. My PSX collection (still got every single one of them) is larger than both the current consoles combined have to offer in terms of actual quality games. And yes, I get that some people do like GeoW or Halo, but there are also tons of people who like DDR. People liking them does not make them good games (with these 2 for example, they're both shallow in terms of story as well as gameplay and it's all about the cinematic "experience"). Not even something like Uncharted, which is one of the best designed and presented games (well, series) of this generation measures up to the PSX generation. Why? Because the gameplay is lacklustre at best, once again it's all focused on a "cinematic experience" - where the fuck did the need to properly time a jump go? It's all meant to look good, not to be fun and I hate that.

I wouldn't be so sure about that , the new ps4 will not have an cell proccesor but instead an Amd x86 cpu which will benefit hackers.

I'll buy both if each has at least one amazing exclusive. If no exclusives then it's PS4 (design and PSN).
I bought the WiiU back in December and that purchase was a bit rushed, I suppose, but 720 and PS4 will surely have a better starting lineup.
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

xbox 720 for sure and then possibly the ps4. Regardless of specs I think both will come out with such similar games graphically speaking that the difference wont be much even if the ps4 does have the theoretically more powerful components as it just wont be that much of a boost that you would see much of a difference when playing the games and the xbox has always had the better online experience which is what I care about when playing with my friends and brothers.

Depends which console allows me to take my current gen wheels & arcade sticks (not to fussed about backward compatability games),Ive spent a few hundred ££ on both PS3 & xbox360 extra accessories so if the next gen consoles for some reason dont allow them to work then its a GFX card upgrade for my PC instead for me & PS4/Xbox720 is just going to get my middle finger.
I know both consoles are coming up with new controllers but this doesnt give them no reason not to support the universal USB controllers of thier previous consoles
