Performance in the second half of the game has been excellent so far.

I'm really enjoying it. It's not goty material by any measure, but it's a great quality product in my book Smile

What is your definition of great then? Wink

For me it is running at 4k uHD, 120Hz, v.high textures with v.high settings with 4x TXAA at solid 120 fps, only then it's great Cool Face

It runs good enough for me, getting pretty much all times 40fps + @ 2560x1440 all High, couple options at Very High. I use 1xSMAA. You are just butthurt because it wont work on your DX10 lolati 4870 double sandwich, perhaps time to upgrade? Its already 5 years old Cool Face

Well considering that resolution and single card, its good enough. Not to mention in typical console port we usually have 30fps lock Cool Face

Now that i figured out the shit vsync (and used frame limiter instead), i get 50-60 fps on med to high settings @ 1440p. Game looks pretty good. Nothing mind boggling though. Rig is a 3570K @4.2 ghz and a 7950 overclocked a bit. Not cutting edge by any means, so its fairly well optimized....

except dat first level Shocked

Only a very few games are actually locked to that 30 fps that we got last year, so kinda rubbish arguement to your statement..
I'm sorry, but 40 fps ain't "running great" in my books Wink.

Of course. That one felt bigger considering how much both vertical and horizontal gameplay it has.

Its 40fps+, not all the time 40fps. And its good enough, considering this is massive resolution, totally playable.

Not sure why this title is garnering so much praise. It's using the same exploitable move-n-cloak system the others used, and the same completely all-or-nothing spot system in which enemies from 10km out instantly know your location without a shadow of a doubt should one pixel of your body protrude from cover.

So, you can tag enemies from far away. It would be stupid to think that so far in the future the tag system doesn't work for cell.

Sounds more like you can't handle being spotted.

Considering how easy the game is and how dumb the AI is, its probably better that enemies spot you from a distance.. basically thats their only advantage.. they spot you fast.. not much else compared to how empowered you are.

Gonna have to skip this one until I get a better PC. The best I can do now is Low/Medium with an emphasis on Low. And even that just gets me 35-40 FPS in the dome

I'm quite happy with the performance I get from my ageing cards. 40+fps, mostly 60. With most settings on high. 1080. FXAA. The physics taking more than 10 fps off when looking at a rope is BS. I didn't have my CPU overclocked when I first started playing, but with an OC it works much better.

Yeah runs quite well here too:P
Much better than First Crysis when it came out.

Tho simply, I wouldnt want every game to have such high requirements

Games like these are meant to push modern hardware. I think it runs fine. Benchmark games in the past had were more demanding (quake, doom 3, crysis).
I have a new system, intel i7 3,5 ghz and a gtz gi 660 ti and can run the game perfect at very high setting, 1650/1050 with msaa 4x. msaa 8x drops fps a little.
Considering I don't have the fastest, and only single, gpu possible this seems fine to me for a game like this.
Just be happy that there are still games that push hardware.

Is there anyway to run vsync without getting capped at 30fps? I've tried a bunch of stuff that worked with crysis 1 and 2 such as enabling triple buffering through nvidia inspector and Alt tabbing / Alt enter. Best i could come up with was a weird you get Vsync but also only 30fps or 60fps no inbetween which was quite terrible rapidly going from 60 to 30 to 60 to 30. I've also tried limiting the frames to 60 through inspector and having vsync off in game. I get 60fps but alot of scrren tearing which in my eyes is unbearable. Any help would be appreciated.

Weird as it is ...It's real and I hate it. I get screen tearing or 30 fps. In crysis 2 it was locked at 24fps unless I had triple buffering enable and alt tabbed a few times and toggled vsync back and forth. Crysis 1 the same thing. I love cryteks games and the visuals they bring but WTF. Every game they make I have issues.
